Actually they can be but if they do they make it not necessary to in app purchase as much as others, resulting in a loss of money, resulting in the game being pulled despite how good it is.

Yeah, totally reviving this thread for the sake of "Digimon Universe: Applimonsters". I'm really curious to hear what everybody's thoughts are on it. It certainly is a strange beast, foregoing a lot of previously established elements in the Digimon lore. I'll give it the usual 3 Episode chance to see if it's any good. For anyone who hasn't heard about this, here's a synopsis:
"Everyone in the world uses smartphone apps, and for every app that exists, there's an intelligent creature known as an "Applimonster", or "Appmon" for short. AI lifeforms with the ability to think and act, they live in the space between the real world and digital space, helping people and system continue to interface and function. However, a mysterious AI called "Leviathan" takes control of the Appmon and begins hacking the world's systems, and begins to attempt to control the human world by way of the internet. In order to combat Leviathan, a young boy named Haru Shinkai is given a device called the Appli Drive, which he uses to create a search-type Appmon named Gatchmon. Can Haru determine Leviathan's true goal, and unlock the secrets behind the world of the Applimonsters?"

Yay lore-The "Present State" of the Old Digital World, Transformed into a World of Death by 'Project Ark'-
After being infected by the X-Program, the Old Digital World was transformed into a 'world of death'. As a result, Yggdrasil ordered for the Old Digital World to be disposed of.
However, because of the X-Program infection, Yggdrasil was unable to safely delete the Old Digital World, running into problems during the disposal process.
And so, in order to prevent the New Digital World from being infected by the X-Program, Yggdrasil installed heavy protection on the access route leading to the Old Digital World, guarding it so heavily that others could not even lay eyes on the Old Digital World.
-Back to the Old Digital World! The X-Evolution of Two Royal Knights-
About a decade has passed since the Old Digital World was locked away.
The concentration of the X-Program in the Old Digital World has dipped below dangerous levels.
Sensing this, Yggdrasil temporarily lifted the protection placed on the Old Digital World, and ordered the Royal Knights to conduct reconnaissance of the Old Digital World.
After some discussion, it was decided that Sleipmon and Craniummon would carry out the reconnaissance work.
Yggdrasil, fearing that the X-Program in the Old Digital World may affect them adversely, bestowed upon them the X-Antibody.

I just started watching Tri, are the filler parts really that bad? Behaving like normal people in the real world isn't something I would really criticize the series for including
