No I agree that it's good overall, but right now I'm at the point where the story should be building you up for the final revelations and conflicts but instead we have day after day of Sakura in room, Sakura out of room, Sakura fainting, Sakura planning to murder oneesan, Sakura fainting again.

No that's objectively bad storytelling imo.
IMO, Sakura was the least interesting part of Heaven's Feel until she becomes its antagonist.

TBH I've only read Tsuki once, and whenever I think about reading it again I remember all the rapey bits and then, y'know, don't.
As for the whole Tsukihime thing, if you can handle original art Umineko and actual ZUN Touhou, Tsukihime should be just fine.
Also yes Sakura is the most boring FSN heroine. Which is quite the feat when you consider that one of her competitors is Saybah.
The last time I read Tsukihime was like 5 years ago. I barely remember the details but I can at least remember how the routes happen

Though abandoned, forgotten, and scorned as out-of-date dolls, they continue to carry out their mission, unchanged from the time they were designed.

Their worth (life) ends when humans can no longer bear that purity.
I can only give you my personal opinion, of course, but so much of it was a repetition of things we already learned or saw in Arcueid's route that I found it very boring. I did like some scenes, though, like Shiki having a last talk with Roa's remains inside him.
Personally, I thought the manga adaptation was much better than the novel, even if it didn't cover Hisui's or Kohaku's routes.
