Not really tho. While it's true that they were unable to recover from the attack, they still exists for like 8000 more years and big ones i.e Amaterasu wasn't affected. Tiamat wasn't even there. Humans have been using stone tools since Stone Age which is like ~3 millions of years before that attack and Extella implied that civilization even reached the point where you have kings and scholar already, so there were quite some crazy advance ancient civilizations around back then. It is only until Gil's rebellion + Solomon's inventions + whatever happened during 700 BCE combined with the unable to recovery from Altera attack that made gods obsolete and completely ended the AoG.

After playing Gawain's route in Extella, I have to say his relationship with Artoria really feels like a familar bond between the two, like parent and child. Which makes sense since Gawain's her nephew. This really surprised me when I remember her relationship with Mordred, but then again I guess her affection was more like a corperate father whose constantly is on buisness trips and always have a work face, and thus took a raincheck on Meet-the-Parents day and everyother bonding event at Mordreds school... actually the more I think about, the more I'm convinced that's how the relationship was really like.

Most and least interesting NPs?

Hm, I suppose that would depend on the point of view used:

- For narrative purposes, I find insta-kill abilities like Gáe Bolg or Delusional Heartbeat some of the most boring ones, but I really like abilities like God Hand or Gate of Babylon when they're used for a "final boss" type of villain.
- From the point of view of "creative reinterpretations of the original legends", I actually really like Excalibur's swordbeam as a conflation and reinterpretation of various feats attributed to Arthur or his sword, even though I despise the proliferation of swordbeam NPs as lazy design; Avalon, on the other hand, is a bit too creative of a reinterpretation for me (even though it fits the Nasuverse setting), and Hrunting just feels too divorced from the original legend.
- From the point of view of abilities that fit the character, I've come to love Caster!Cú Chulainn's Wicker Man as a representation of the imposed role and duty he never wanted ever since I read his "Sage of the Forest" interlude. Ozymandias' temple, though, is cool, but it's also so generic it feels more like a "this is what the author needed for the story they wanted to tell" ability than something that truly denotes the character Ozymandias. I mean, surely the "Pharaoh of Pharaohs" could have something more individualised than a collection of everything stereotypically Egyptian, right? Romulus did!
- And from the point of view "that's just cool, damn it", I love Unlimited Blade Works, but King Hassan's NP is just so bland (though that may be more because I'm comparing to other Zabaniyas and expecting more from what should be the greatest of all Zabaniyas. Plus, apropos of nothing, I don't really like King Hassan's design in general).

In the interest of fairness, I haven't read "Fragments", nor is Ozymandias in English GO yet, so it's entirely possible I'm wrong and Ozymandias' character is nothing more than "generic pharaoh". :-P
