Glad that my parents aren't like that, but I still strive to memorize the multiplication table from 1 - 10 by Grade 2.
And memorizing it while eating is a part of my study. I didn't know at that time that it's not normal for someone to do it that way.
On to thoughts...
Re - watching Kara no Kyoukai now made sense of what I didn't understand last time.
Like the time how those 4 hoodlums that Shiki slashed over and over are related to the Bloodchip case.

Not dealing with it...
Why even try?

Fate's Gilgamesh has all the world's treasures. Eiyuu Senki's Gilgamesh also has all the world's treasures. Eiyuu Senki's Gilgamesh's treasures include apparently very strong aphrodisiac. Does Fate's Gilgamesh also have very strong aphrodisiac?
Was that made as part of some contest to make Mordred look as stupid as possible? Because it earns a solid 8 at least if so.
They're supposed to be mechas I think.

so no Arthur riding 'Lancelot' joke?
TIL that when both Shikis were hospitalised in the beginning of Tsukihime and Void Shrine they had their newly death-perceptive eyes examined by a neurologist called Ashika (芦家). Pretty neat. I bet he was at Origa too.
hmmmm
芦家 = ashika = can also be read as ASHIYA
abe no seimei. 921-1005. onmyouji. his legendary rival ASHIYA DOUMAN [蘆屋道満]
ASHIYA = 蘆屋 : ASHI = 蘆
this character 蘆 has a simplified form which is 芦
WHICH IS THE ASHI IN 芦家

かん汗ぎゅう牛じゅう充とう棟
Expresses the exceeding size of one's library.
Books are extremely many, loaded on an oxcart the ox will sweat.
At home piled to the ridgepole of the house, from this meaning.
Read out as 「Ushi ni ase shi, munagi ni mitsu.」

what meagre scraps of excitement I sometimes manage to sustain can be easily dashed by the mere recollection of the fact that FGO exists, let alone any specific detail of it

So apparently, Last Encore has the titbit that being a Demi Servant is normally too much for a normal hooman and they'll melt or smth from too much power, unless they are specially designed to be a vessel (presumbly alluding to Mashmallow).
Nice, Fate offered an in-universe explanation of the spontaneous self combustion phenomena. It's actually Frederick II's stableboy or something trying really really hard to get inside you.
typemoon made me study sumerian language
FGO mats already mentions it, but it really was fun finding what the words mean
For Angalta Kigalshe, -gal is the suffix that means "great" or "grand" in english, -ta means from, and -sh(e) means to, while An and Ki respectively is the personification of sky and earth itself and suimultaneously the name of the 2 first born god. So it literally means from the great heaven to the great earth.
With Kur Kigal Irkalla, its interesting because i found out that Kur can mean many things. It can mean the underworld, it can mean mountain, it can mean land, and it even got syncretized (YEAHHHH) with Tiamat herself on the Babylonian terms. I take it TM is going for the mountain meaning due to the NP title. Kigal is same as above, while Irkalla is originally Ereshkigal's other name, which then got synchronized as the name of the underworld itself. Doesnt seem like it contain any declension on the nouns, so im guessing theyre after "mountain of the underworld of the great earth", or something along the lines?
Ereshkigal also apparently literally means queen of the great earth. so i suppose each time we call her eresh we literally call her queen.
at any rate, it was a really awesome TIL, so i thought id share it.
unless people already know about it
