I don't think a Swordfish is close enough to a Sword to count. If it was, he could probably just project himself and his Badump Date super plan might never have gone wrong.

So I was re-watching Katanagatari and it only just hit me now that Houou Maniwa's ultimate technique - a sword stance that allows one to move so fast they slash an opponent three times simultaneously that he learned from a certain swordsman in the early Edo period was meant to be a reference to Tsubame Gaeshi.
