Seriously though, some great art in there, thanks for sharing that.
A small number of the many retcons done by Nasu over the years
OkayIll tell you of some real retcons instead of the more jokey ones. The FSN Ufotable Anime is not an Adaptation of the Original Visual Novel. It is in fact an Adaptation of an Incomplete Version of the FSN Remake that Nasu thought of in his head that retcons cetain events and dialogue to fit in with the modern Type Moon Universe. (For example, Angra Mainyu's description changing from a True Demon to Humanity's Evil) And Mahoyo though released version seems like the original... is technically a retcon of the original version which was never released but info about it was released a long time ago with the Type Moon Material Book when Type Moon was only FSN, Tsukihime, Kara no Kyoukai and the unreleased OG Version of Mahoyo. The retcon that was changed from the original version was that thet made Touko not the killer of her grandfather oh and gave her red hair when she originally had blue hair, turned Soujuuro into a more innocent type than someone similar to Souichiro Suzuki but little bit more emotional. And few other stuff. Other retcons include the Gaia's White Beast which had a very different description than now due to Tsukihime's story. Dead Apostles strength becoming far more powerful to make them a counterpart to Servants which includes making them Anti-Proper Human Order. And if you want some deep shit... changing Jeanne from a Counterguardian to a straight up Servant. Or at least presumably. Kara no Kyoukai was written like a mystery novel, so a lot of what's said is written with a level of uncertainty and people having guesses. When Jeanne mentioned in the novel she was basically called out as Counterguardian. Or at least according to Touko's guesses when talking about the Counter Force. And if you want something deep deep. There is the Sixth Magic.... No one knows if it is canon anymore. Back when it was Kara no Kyoukai and Tsukihime+Melty Blood it was. Well sort of? Melty Blood made it sound like it was just a theoretical thing while Official Type Moon Guide that said Kokuto's prediction on the Sixth Magic was right hinted that it was. But we cant know shit until Tsukihime gets remade and maybe Melty Blood too. And if you want proof, in the 2015 Type Moon Ace where Lord El Meloii Casefile was formally revealed, Makoto Sanda asked Nasu why the setting of Lord El Meloii Case File was strangely different from Type Moon Setting Material, Fate/complete material World material, and etc. And his response was: "Calm Down and listen Makoto. Dont you think a world that doesnt update is a boring one?" Hell Tsukihime Remake is one. Since Tsukihime have plot element that doesnt fit with the modern Typemoon World.
if i say the actual most legit of this claim is touko's hair change would i be a bad person
and yet there are still no contradictions in nasu works

Is this supposed to be a post of some kind?
I can't even call this wrong, it's actually incomprehensible. Sasuga Reddit.
Every work is built upon trillions of hypothetical retcons of works that never were, and therefore are bad

More retcons
There being infinite timelines that Zelretch can fuck with and hop between with freely being changed to the World somehow eliminating timelines where humanity gets fucked over for the Lostbelt storyline (Extra also has a similar thing with the Moon Cell, but this applies only to the Extraverse timelines).
• God Hand's defensive ability going from giving Herc complete conceptual immunity to being killed by the same method more than once to simply giving him a strong resistance to attacks made in that method.
• The HGW and the class containers having been created by the founding families and Zelretch rather than being copied from the Counter Force's "grand servant ritual", and the idea of Servants, (not HS in general but Servants specifically) being an innate feature of the Counter Force rather than an invention of the HGW ritual.
• Gram getting completely redesigned from a normal sword to a crystal lightsaber thanks to Sigurd getting a complete redesign.
• Gods/Divine Spirits (the Mesopotamian ones in particular) as entities born out of human belief from the planet being changed to gods/Divine Spirits (the Mesopotamian ones in particular) as entities derived from ancient aliens (implied to be TYPEs). This was also bundled up with stuff like the Picts being aliens.
• The Hassans going from the only Heroic Spirits in existence who even qualify for the Assassin class to the idea that they were the only Assassins a misconception based on the fact that every summoning of the class involved the word "assassin" being used as a catalyst.
• Tiamat being some super special Beast in FGO when she was just a normal Divine Spirit in CCC Foxtail and Apocrypha (nothing is special about her inclusion in Kingprotea, and her Basmu is just a regular Divine Beast in Apocrypha rather than a Beast spawn).
• Servants keeping their memories from previous summonings in FGO (you can't just say "the summoning system is different", Chaldea would have to be summoning the HS directly rather than making a Servant copy were they to do that).
• Fate and Tsukihime being in the same -- or at least similar -- timeline due to EMIYA having received his red coat from Ciel (who, I remind you, can only exist if Roa is a thing) to the Fate and Tsukihime timelines/worlds being entirely separate, with different rules based on the existence of Heroic Spirits or classification of DAAs, and Roa having died in the early 1800s at the hands of Dantes.
• Primate Murder being turned into a fucking mascot character with a verbal tic.
• The idea of Beasts as a group of ultimate evils which always existed rather than an artificial being created in Prototype by the Proto Grail (also the idea of Beasts and the intended role of Angra Mainyu are mutually exclusive, but that's a topic for another time).
Thank you for formatting it better this time, but i still don't know why you're putting them in quote boxes.
slow day on the subreddit, huh

I just found out what had been confusing me in that other thread. I didn't know about this retcon! The HGW and the class containers having been created by the founding families and Zelretch rather than being copied from the Counter Force's "grand servant ritual", and the idea of Servants, (not HS in general but Servants specifically) being an innate feature of the Counter Force rather than an invention of the HGW ritual.
there is a salient difference between a retcon and something just being stupid. it is not a huge difference but it's there

the work knows more about itself than the 'actual author' knows about it. there is a process by this can be determined, known as 'reading' - a dying art, i'm afraid

This was retconned in later works like case files.Originally Posted by KnK 5
