A beautiful dream unrealized. Yet, do not call it impossible, for some sunny day, it will surely come to pass if you never falter or turn aside from your path
I think it was Malory that explicitly said Lamorak was the third best knight after Tristan and Lancelot; incidentally, those two always sidestepped over who was stronger by avoiding fighting each other and if they did, it was because they didn't know at the time but they always figure out eventually. (And that everyone was racist to the Cornish except Tristan)
And that Gawain had to gang up on him with his brothers and stab him in the back because Lamorak was banging his mommy, who Gaheris (or was it Aggravaine?) murdered the hell out of.
And Pelleas being ranked makes sense since that was the dude that was beating Arthur's shit in until he got Excalibur.
@You: Maybe you should clarify it as Skills, since the other could be understood as better fighting skills.
Numeral of the Saint still is a massive game changer
Its true that most activity in HGW takes place on the night, but Gawain obviously is going to play to his strengths
If he can get past all the defenses, a well timed march towards Einzbern Castle can be completely devastating
Yeah but at night time he has siegfried tier Personal skills.
I thought the whole point of your post was to discount Numeral of the Saint.
Every brother except Garet participated in that act because was consistently depicted as most decent of the bunch. And that Gawain had to gang up on him with his brothers and stab him in the back because Lamorak was banging his mommy, who Gaheris (or was it Aggravaine?) murdered the hell out of.
Yeah, Gareth also loved Lancelot.
Which makes what happened delicious irony.
At night he's still one of the best stat-wise, and Excalibur Galatine's AOE extends only as far as he visualizes it. (13 KM is the max, not the minimum.)
Then for a third of the time he's basically invincible.
There's no actual downside to summoning Gawain unless you really care about night-time personal skills for some reason.

Oh also he's one of the few Servants that will go along with basically anything and doesn't mind exploiting the fuck out of his invincibility cheat, so you can totally go "What are implied rules lol?" and drop him on the enemy base during one of his godmode hours.

Ragnarok, come day of wrath
That fallen souls might bear our plea.

O piteous Wanderer.
He can't cook well. That's a flaw.
But not a downside.

Gawain. He was the chef for the Round Table but he was a vegetarian so everyone was sad at dinner time.
Shirou should be thanking Gawain.
Thats the true flaw of the Saber class
I think someone else needs to gather nasu's ideas and write it (obviously with nasu handing out some random basophilic dialogues). Actually nasu just need a huge writing team where he can be mushroom dictator. Does anyone else want to learn his true identity?
Sadly it doesn't have the actual good Gilgamesh, instead it has some dude that takes days just to try to drown you unsuccessfully.
