Because white on black on blue is fucking heinous.
Think there's any school magecraft based on music?

I'm sure there can be, yeah.
We have a 1000 year old Magus bloodline about butterflies, someone having a laser harp wouldn't surprise me.
Who has butterfly magic?
A guy in Case Files
IIRC one of the magi in Case Files.

BEHOLD! THE SIG OF GOLDEN TRUTH! Pillaged from McJon, Tsukikan et al.
So what can you do with "Becoming a Butterfly" magic
The basis of the theory is the mystery "caterpillars, coccons, and butterflies, are three separate things, yet somehow are able to transform into each other." Using this he can make a homunculus with his own blood and semen (the kid pushing the wheelchair) and take over that body transplanting this memories, personality, magic crest, etc.
He was collabing with Geryon to create a way to transplant magic crests onto other people without them dying, using this theory.
He also has these familiars which are like pale light butterflies and they can stop wraiths.

You know who else has really old family magecraft with insects and transplanting and bestowing crests and shit?
Makiri Zolgen was rocking this shit long before this wannabe from Case Files showed up.
Yeah, but he had to make it weird. Everyone always wonders "what if I used my magecraft as a way to express my sexual deviancy" but they stop before actually doing so, or stop afterwards and destroy all evidence.
Zouken didn't, and now his family reaps the dickworm whirlwind.
Of course they don't toss them in, that's training you beg to be allowed to do every day.
