I'm not sure what you mean by "well kept secret."

Basically you probably didn't see many translations because arai and the others tend not to translate things that don't describe new lore information. CM2 is all character design notes and comments. Although those can also be quite insightful, most of them talk about things that don't exist in the final draft of Fate/stay night.

(well kept secret refers to that while things from CM 3 are relatively easy to peruse, learning things from CM2 usually requires just happening to be on thread while a Japanese speaker is mentioning something he read, or alternatively hoping seika had happened to be on thread when a speaker mentioned it and then later she added it to her notes file)

At any rate, to avoid a minor derail on the relative merits of CM 2, to draw back to the original statement, since Nasu has said two things which are flatly contradictory, I think at this point the only thing a fate fan can do is make his or her own judgement call.

The tattoos are part of the variety in design they wanted to give Gil (his various modern outfits are a result of this), but didn't have a chance to until hollow.

FSN was getting too long towards the end, they had to start cutting content to stay on already bloated schedule and within budget.

I think there were enough hints in SN that I don't in theory dislike the idea. I'm just not very satisfied with the execution in Zero or CCC (and was therefore pleasantly surprised by the SF take on him that arai showed off).

In the very first iteration you could play as Rin, and one would hope that was how the ayako route was supposed to be played.

One thing we know for certain- there would not be a Taiga Route.

Considering that it was already remade as a non-H game, I'd say that's a safe bet.

I just resurrected my very old HD which hadn't been working since about 2011. It had a bad case of ye olde Click of Death so I had given up on it. But yesterday, on a whim, I tried plugging it and hey, it worked. So I backed up everything to a newer HD.

Among other things, that HD had all of my old Type-Moon/BL stuff. I'm gonna try to find interesting stuff from back then to post it.
