And being fair, Tokiomi did a good job at surviving at that point.
He used a genius tactic of boring gilgamesh so hard that goldie himself refused to kill him.
Tokiomi dug himself a hole he couldn't dig out of. As soon as he gauged Gil's personality and the command spell hardly did anything, he should have known his plans were forfeit about making his servant kill himself at the end. But I can't blame him because Gil is literally the worst person for a schemer who isn't being genuine, it's better to be a hot blooded idiot.
Kerry dug himself a hole because he didn't even need to cheat if he trusted his servant and was honest.
