I know that people are kind of annoyed as Manaka because many characters in Prototype praise her to be perfect, despite her... moral deficiency, but if that one flaw in her did not exist. She really would be 100% perfect... Wouldn't that be scarier? Apparently, in terms of Shinobu's (Monogatari) back story (which still does not explain how she became a vampire, like how Castlevania: Lament of Innocence never explained how Mathias got his Castle) http://bakemonogatari.wikia.com/wiki...bu_Oshino#Past Princess Acerola was so perfect externally that people near worshiped her. However, when her inner beauty was shown, it was practically a WMD with people literally committing suicide to offer their lives to her. In other words, Princess Acerola, as a human, was more dangerous than the vampire Kiss-Shot (I'll never get used to NisiOisiN's naming convention). Even Manaka cannot make corpses so automatically.
Well, if the story and narration weren't put on hold so we could have sentences and even a paragraph dedicated to telling us-not even showing, just straight up telling us-how perfect, beautiful, dazzling, and enchanting Manaka is, and if such writing didn't trigger me with Twilight flashbacks, then I guess.
