Don't get me wrong, I do agree that she's very skilled AND unsuited for direct battle (especially outside her Territory), but one thing I've noticed is that a lot of her magical mastery tends to be attributed to her being a sorcerer from the Age of the Gods, not to her own achievements; in contrast, it seems like Avicebron and Paracelsus, for instance, are acknowledged as great magicians by their own deeds even though they're from a comparatively weaker era in terms of magical knowledge. The description in "GO Materials" about how she was actually an average apprentice basically clinched it for me.

I see that more as an indication of Kanshou and Bakuya's defensive properties.
Granted, one doesn't need Arturia-level M. Res. to fight Medea (or other beam-happy Casters). Isn't there a description for how Cú Chulainn's C-Rank Magic Resistance might seem low, but it's actually enough thanks to his agility and combat skills?
Well no i was more talking about the space freeze thing as one of her other tricks, yet the guy with D MR and D STR still manages to break it just fine.

It's not Medea's fault that basically 5-6 of the 5th war Servants can't be manipulated as easily as the Masters she basically only uses the sheer power on the Servants anyway an when we see her attacking Masters they basically don't stand a chance. What she uses for technique is mostly the background stuff. (Hijacking the war, summoning a Servant, controlling the city, prepared to use the Grail, The Temple etc.)
And as for the Jason World thing, it was mentioned years ago that she could do RM like stuff so that was really just a confirmation for me.
But when it said she could do it by stacking up small-scale spells or whatever did you ever imagine it meant she literally did it by building a model and hand-painting figurines?

Oh, that. Well, I don't think STR really mattered there,* or M. Res, for that matter; if I understand it correctly, M. Res. would have stopped the spell from working altogether or mitigated its effects. What Archer did - again, if I understand it correctly - was use his own magical energy to break free from her spell. His MGI is Rank B, and it still took him some time (and preventing Medea from simply re-casting), I doubt it's something Medusa could have done, for instance.
* And, if I'm not mistaken, Nasu said she was capable of rendering Herakles vulnerable by weighing his body down, so I don't think high STR is too much of a problem for her.

The herc thing was from how they managed to hold him off iirc, and it was that it slowed herc enough that kojirou could fend off herc until illya got bored with the praises being given to kojirou.

Though honestly i would say a servant who won't get affected by their magic AND can cut of their heads before they could do much else would be worse.

Yeah I could really see that from how she utterly manhandled Rin in their fight. Any of the less amazing servants like Saber or Berserker would have been in real danger, but being a "modern magus' worst nightmare" she had no problems at all.
