    It seems I started an argument with too little information. I must've had this melting pot of pop culture that resulted in a false perception of Arthurian myths. I hope I wasn't/won't be judged too harshly.

    Random Arthurian myth CSB moment, I once had a drama teacher start talking about how myths can be used to show how humanity always prizes offense and war over defense and mercy. To illustrate that, (of all things) he picked King Arthur and Excalibur as an example.

    me being the nit picky asshole I am, I immediately piped up something like "yeah, if you ignore the whole entire point of king arthur's myth being that cut steel (Excalibur) was just a nice sword and really not even that great, and it's the sheathe, which was a shield in all but name, that was the important thing."

    dude stared at me like I had pulled my dick out and rubbed it on the desk.

    Sometimes awkward silences are quite enjoyable.
