Richard's quality as an option depends on how many chapters would be dedicated to his mother's insane King Arthur fanfiction. I honestly could take more than half of the screentime being that.
Oh, I didn't answer my own question. Fate/Hundred Years War when? Alternatively Richard, John, and Robin of Loxley.
I didn't answer either. My pick would be Moriarty. There's endless potential good plots to explore since he doesn't appear in the Canon all that much and it's not very often that we get stories about the other side of crime mystery.
Cyka Blyatsky was a mistake. Perhaps no clearer sign exists of the degeneration of the concept of the HS since fate stay night

Never again is Berserker Lancelot going to do anything creative or visually interesting with Knight of Owner. He's forever stuck referencing Fate/Zero with jets and machine guns.
He had an extensive showing with many opportunities to display the fullest extent of his abilities during even outlandish context like what's been mentioned.
Unless the issue is that you haven't had enough.

FGO could have done more than guns in his animations for example.
Extella has him using For Someone's Glory which is great, but when playing as him the most interesting thing he does is use Arondight Overload or his pole from Zero, not very creative.
Not to mention that his "Noble Phantasm" is the jet in both. I can understand that's very iconic so I wouldn't even mind this last part if they did better with his regular attacks.
Oh, when you put it like that I totally understand what you mean.
I guess the problem is that he lacks any sort of basic attack pattern to follow outside of F/Z and if you're going to give him the pole and machine gun already then why not give him the jet as the NP for the full package. Still doesn't excuse the lack of creativity I know.

It's a shame FGO didn't go for Fragments' version of Jekyll & Hyde. Would have been cool to have a werewolf unit.

(Sigmund or Sinfjotli when.)
Yeah I get that, but even if referencing Zero is inevitable, they could've done more.
His first fight with Gilgamesh is a great base for example. FGO could have random weapons stuck on the ground around his sprite, or just random weapons flying at him for him to use. They did it with Medb just for the cheese joke!
And Extella, why not go ham on the stealing aspect and base his moveset on the other characters? Imagine him doing Drake's boat attack but instead of riding on it he jumps off and throws it.
It just feels like they don't even think and go straight to the most basic reference.
The jet NP doesn't bother me because the dogfight is an iconic moment in Zero, but the machine guns in his normal attacks do annoy me.
If a jet can come out of nowhere for his NP, other weapons could come out of nowhere for his normal attacks.
The thing is that Knight Of Owner is way too situational to really make for a good moveset. The best the devs can do is take some of Lancelot's most iconic feats with it like the pole and the machinegun and turn them into special moves and whatnot. The most accurate way to implement it in a musou setting would be to let Lancelot pick up random items on the stage and use them for unique attacks, but that'd probably be too much to code in for just one character.
He's already materializing poles and guns and a fucking jet out of nowhere, what would change if he materialized any other weapon? This level of accuracy is clearly disregarded in favor of cool musou moves.
