He seems honestly disappointed in the novel. And while I don't speak Japanese, I didn't get any sarcasm vibe off the VA's acting in the anime.

Maybe Achilles just wanted him to use his NP to make the fight more interesting, rather than anything to do with guessing his true name? That would seem to be most in-character explanation IMO...

Gundam said it pretty much, the guy did everything he could to save his nations and its end was still inevitable, he still got defeated, and that was after dreaming about his perfect country for months and being betrayed by the people he trusted the most. I also cared a lot for Patsy, but Ivan made me feel to most even in his short appearance.

Isn't it more heroic to achieve one's goals without meaningless loss of life? What about resolutely refusing to compromise one's morals by fighting, even when it seems inevitable, isn't that heroic? Is a hero one who kills the most, or one who saves the most?

i wonder if the fact that our servants have lower HP than their versions you actually fight in the story or in events is some sort of meta commentary on how Chaldea Servants are weaker than their regular versions.

No that's just gameplay, although there are a couple of cases where Chaldea Servants are weaker.

I think they discussed how her medical condition is improved while being a Servant from the start.

I remembered that Dr. Roman is the one who assessed the medical condition of Mashu as one of the Demi - Servant experiments.

And thus, the backup plan which is the Orthenaus came fully into play during Lostbelt to force her Servant powers out.

I just noticed Ace Ryoal states Medusa can be Caster and Archer. I don't know how much trust people put into AR, but what would be something that Medusa could possibly have to make her an Archer (as she exists in Fate)?
