Might as well not read it in that case.

I think this is the first time I've seen someone give reasons to not read the vn.

Ironically, the reason I need to read it is literally so that I don't have to ask questions about her in the questions thread for the specific reason that I don't want to be told 'just read the VN' each time I ask a question.

I mean, I guess it was kind of important as a baseline story so the other routes could be different as things went more and more wrong, but by itself the route is pretty boring.

That's why I'm worried. Also, it's the longest route from what I've heard and I may end up having to print it.

But I must fanfiction. I'm on to something good, I can feel it. It's still coming along dreadfully slowly, but the story is really starting to come together.

But the less I know about Saber, the more screwed I get.

Technically speaking Fate is the longest because the first 3 days are classified as part of that Route, IIRC.

Aside from how badly the romance plot was executed (which isn't a minor complaint in any way), the Fate route also felt the weakest to me in terms of character arcs - Shirou barely has any, and Saber's is greatly hampered by the aforementioned romance plot.

Nah, the first 3 days are just 'Shirou's regular highschool days'- It's just that the files for that are considered to be part of "Fate".

(Personally I consider them to be a second prologue)

UBW will always be my favorite because it has Shirou at his snarkiest. In Fate, I've heard his misogynistic behavior shows itself the most. And quite frankly, I just found him boring in Heaven's Feel.

that’s god’s own truth. Random old guy remembering the good old days moment, it was actually snark shirou that came up significantly in an argument I once had with elf about whether or not it was shirou or rin who came up with that dumb ass idea of visiting a love hotel in HA.

Really Rin? Have you never seen an anime before? Going to a Love-Hotel is a surefire way to get caught and have your relationship exposed- probably to the worst person possible.

Neither. It wasn't that Rin was wearing too much, she had a container that broke and became a perfume bomb.
