Well, the average Fate fan starts with Fate/Stay Night VN (original, not Realta) first before anything else.
I'm one of the deviants who started with Carnival Phantasm first (I then thought at that time that it's a completely different anime), then went on to Fate/Stay Night (DEEN first before discovering lparchives VN.
