It only arose because of Iri's case where she has the full modifications that Illya should have.

Wait, I just checked the entry: そのため、炎の扱いに優れており、また炎の災厄に縁がある。

Pretty sure it just said that she's good with handling fire, i.e using fire as attacks and such or have experience in dealing with fire attacks due to her connection to the fire disaster. It's not a "fire damage reduction".

Well if it was fire resistance then sure wank. But it's just about how she can handle fire very well then it makes sense. I mean, she has quite some fire attacks, so it's weird if she can't handle her own fire.
