Announcement of the remake is in 2008, design release is 2012.

They did it so that the designs look like 2008 instead of 2012.

I got the impression somewhere that Prototype Assassin was meant to be actual Kojirou rather than nameless farmer dude who really wanted to kill swallows with a katana, which might be kinda interesting as a change of pace.

This is good, but I could argue that some Pokemon are with the wrong Servants.

I always pegged Astolfo as the Servant with Sylveon since Eeveelutions are majority male but Marie has the matching frills and ribbons so it works out.
