First episode is very pretty.
Very much looking forward to the rest of it. Especially when certain other...material gets all animated-like.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
Haaaaa!
That moment where that cute couple become a pair of male nerds.

@celsius geh im really fed up with the people thinkign this would be a .hack ripoff even though both were conceived around the same time. also im fed up with the arguments whats better, when oth are good. geez, call a good series with a not-yet overused setting and immediately people will think its a ripoff of the only other series with a simialr setting because the setting hasnt become wildly common yet...
I like this first episode.

that actually annoyed me, because the novel stated SAO doesnt allow you to make an Avatar thats not of your gender. then again that info was only there durign the sexscene durign a small infodump explaining why their game-avatars have genitals, so i guess its okay for the anime to ignore it... still wouldve liked it better if they wouldnt have thrown that out of the window just for a cheap joke..
Well, it IS true that I have little interest in Sword Art Online, though. It's not because I think it's a "ripoff", however. Actually, aside from a small list of superficial details, the two stories have very little in common with one another. The reason I have no interest in SAO is because the characters don't interest me, the plot doesn't interest me and the atmosphere doesn't interest me. Nothing about Sword Art Online strikes a chord in me. I mean, it's not as if I got into .hack because it takes place in an MMORPG. It's more like the story I got interested in just happened to take place in an MMORPG. To start with, I don't even like MMOs much. So whatever similarities SAO might have with .hack mean nothing to me.
In any case, I was never trying to attack anyone. I was just having a little fun at the series' expense is all. ;)

haha well i guess so^^ although if i were oyu, id give it a chance to play out a little^^ although im wodnerign how the Anime will do things, since the timeline in the novels is a slight mess... the Anime could, unlike the LN, go at the events in SAO in a more chronological order... but then again the Opening suggests otherwise.

Discuss.
This bond we have is like poison... Just one drop would destroy them all, no prisoners taken...

What are we talking about?

Yes, but what kind of loyalty.
I can think of tons of characters who are consistently loyal.

You must not have seen many stories then.
That doesn't sound like terribly outstanding loyalty.
And if he's "married" pretty early ... than that's a reason for him to stay loyal. But with people who have multiple love interests ... just because they have to make a choice doesn't make them disloyal.

Well ... that actually does nothing to disprove my point.
