Thread for miscellaneous thoughts about anime and games not Type-Moon-related, but also not random enough to go to 7th. I'll start:
I noticed in some words, such as No Game, No Life and the Tales series, humans were the "default" race, and others came afterwards. In NGNL, all other sentient races were created by the Old Deus, while humans were there on Disboard in the beginning. Similarly, in the Tales series, humans were on Aselia first, while elves came from Derris Kharlan. On the other hand, in the Elder Scrolls series, while humans and elves came about at around the same time, humans were generally seen as a force of mutation, whether a positive change or a negative corruption depends on the point of view. According to the elven creation myth: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/M...t_of_the_World Atmora, the place many humans consider their place of origin, was originally Altmora the Elder Wood before it was "lost" to humans.
