Not that I'm aware of, but I never said it was strictly a love potion.
...I know that there's something to describe what I'm talking about in as few words as possible, but it's hard for me to think of the specifics. I'm talking about something that lowers one's inhibitions towards the one that they want to be with romantically and sexually.
Is there a better way to describe what I'm talking about?

Well my point is that 'ingested substance that lowers inhibition' is literally booze and trying to do some magic potion is more odd fanfiction contrivances than you need.
Would be funny if a magus made a "love potion" that basically boiled down to a mixed party drink. Maybe. Probably not.
I was looking for something that wasn't booze... an aphrodisiac that only works when the person the consumer is in love with is in the area is what I was looking for.
If there's no specific thing like that, then I might need to rethink how this will work, somehow.

*facepalm* I was hoping to avoid that. I was trying to think of something that worked more like an aphrodisiac and less like alcohol (though with the lowering inhibitions part in it).

Xam I almost feel bad for suggesting this but you do know that there are states of drunk that are not blackout smashed and that saying shit you think but don't normally say is... well, practically a hallmark of alcohol?
You know, alcohol really isn't that bad. Off the top of my head:
Shirou and Ayako go out to celebrate high school graduation or something. Alcoholic beverages happen. Shirou takes a clearly smashed Ayako who is spilling her heart out to him home, and despite them both being drunk they manage to be above the influence and nothing happens. Or, you know, hilarious drunken sex occurs, whichever you prefer. And in the morning it's something they seriously have to sit down and talk about because despite being drunk as all hell, Ayako was completely serious about what she was saying.

I mean fuck she doesn't even have to be smashed to the stones she can just decide to kiss him underntheninfluence to try and get over him or something and is surprised when he likes it and it doesn't work in the slightest or their friends are egging them on and teasing them about their relationships or any number of things that are not weird anime sex potion.
...Guess it's off to using alcohol in the story for me.
While I would say thank you for the plot, I had something else entirely in mind, one where Ayako gets kidnapped and Shirou has to rescue her from a Sealing Designate magus hiding out in Fuyuki... who is interested in testing out a potion that hadn't been made before on Ayako (essentially, I decided very recently that it's made out of alcohol, plus some other things that would make the alcohol less dangerous to the human body).
Thoughts on that idea? It will get sex in there, because of circumstances, but... yeah.

Could we agree that there's at Lear a moral difference between angering your own mental chemistry and doing something as a result of that vs the same result but non-consensual alteration?
