    Beast's Lair's Beta Reading - offers and/or requests, inquire within

    If we have such a thread already then please excuse me and lock this, but I couldn't find it despite intensive searching (read: entering "beta" as search term then selecting "search title only")

    I think I am not the only one who will ever need a beta reader so this thread is intended for usage by the general public, for nice people offering their help with stories and for other nice people giving our community stories, but want them proofread by the other nice people. So everyone be nice in this thread!

    Well, I entered the BL Fan fiction contest, and I need a non-contest participant who proofreads my short story. If you want to know the premise before accepting I can PM it to you since the stories are supposed to be kept sekkrit until they are all put up here.
    So if anyone with a good grip on grammar and tolerance for noob stories would help me I'd appreciate it!

    Well, even though I already beta'd my fic and tried checking it for anything left, it wouldn't hurt to have it beta'd again.
    After all, it would help fix anything the first beta/I might have missed.
    And I'm very prone to making mistakes.

    I am looking for a beta.

    It is a crossover between the Nasuverse and A Certain Magical Index (Though the title does not accurately reflect this, I suppose).

    OK, well, I'd be happy to beta-read for anyone (at least as long as I have the time) who needs help with general grammar/spelling checking and Sakura characterisation (I can do other stuff too, but Sakura is the character I'm most knowledgeable about), provided a) Sakura is not unsalvagably OOC (OOC is fine, provided you're willing to resolve it, because that's the whole point of getting a beta reader in the first place, but if you are unable or unwilling to get her characterisation right and still have a story, then I'm not interested) and b) Sakura is going to be treated decently in the story (which generally means getting saved, unless she has a very big protagonist role, has already been saved or is not in danger in the first place).
