She doesn't seem to have an issue with threatening us with her "powers she is too afraid to use", though. Considering that none of us are "good guys" to begin with, there isn't really a point in saving someone who would try to kill us to satisfy her own self-destructive urges.

I mean the good thing about Haruka is that she actually lets her emotions manifest as opposed to other characters who may just be too badass to care. The bad thing is that she can be a pain in the ass once she gets the ball going.

The best thing is that she has that one perk that makes your team have awful luck which I think is amazing. Maybe if I add her to my party which already has a depressing amount of misfortune, it will become good luck!

I would argue that Masa's a good guy. He's just a huge failure, and redemption comes in very slow and almost imperceptible bursts. Maiko and Manny are also good guys, though they bothhave, well... impossibly horrifying alter egos, but as long as they stay in their 'normal' states, they're fine. On the other hand, technically, Maiko is the alter ego, while the psychopath is the normal one.
And Akira is also pretty good. In comparison to many of the others at least.

Meanwhile, unless hero finds Manny first, chances are, he's gonna be Beast fo-evah. Which means that you're almost certainly running straight toward him, Airen, just so that Rolanda can exacerbate the situation.

That's actually worth a try. Furthermore, if you guys all regroup and Haruka's with you in a more or less stable state, you might be able to get the big bad into the room with you. Not that I would know. On the other hand if you kill it and Rolanda sees, you're all fucked because then she doesn't need you anymore, and she is the only innocent one among you in her head. Although I suppose Haruka might be able to stop her...

I mean... from an OOC perspective I find her mostly insufferable and I really can't be bothered to deal with all the self-deprecating whining. And its not like stabilizing her mental state would make her a particularly fascinating character either. In fact, she would be probably more interesting if she went even further and turned into a proper irredeemable villain. It's not like she is far off from that either.
