Really good art, wonder if there'll be news about the anime soon. I know that there's little content to adapt, but they could always coordinate with the mangaka to finish animating 3rei at the same time as 3rei's manga wraps up, if it is heading there.

You say it like it's a bad thing. But, seriously, a breather is welcome and they need to keep interest fresh on the anime side of things, but given the manga: a season covering manga events won't work yet, so filler OVAs pandering to the jailbait fanservice side of the series were pretty much their only option. I understand if you don't like it, but you have to keep in mind it's obvious the anime and manga were made to attract fans of that stuff (more so, the anime with it's OVAs and BD specials. But the manga isn't completely innocent because the author is obviously one of those people, besides being also a fan of everything TM).
