I seriously doubt it. He's worked on some FGO stuff and has been playing videogames during this downtime. Personally, I think he might just have some procrastination issues with this series.
Coupled with the fact he also probably never expected 3rei to take 7 years, I'm sure. And the realization he still has another quarter of a story to tell, and Hiroyama might just be seriously overwhelmed on what he's doing with Prillya.
Also he retweeted some things today, so he's not dead at least.

Never mind, i saw the whole thing.The Shinji quote joke got old at some point but it was fun overall. I noticed Illyaverse Shiro now looks like miyuverse shiro minus the scars, they ditched the more fluff look of early seasons

So, subs for Prisma Phantasm are out. Watched it and it was quite fun. LMAO at this being where Kirei gets to feel what it's like to be the one stabbed in the back (I swear the face he made when he got Rule Breaker'd was a reference to Tokiomi in Fate/Zero). Also, female Julian and female Darius were hot. And male Angelica being just UBW Gil with weird hair is just hilarious.
Also, Karen's such a shitty nurse even Hassan Shinji is legit better, even when he's trying to half-ass it. Hilarious

Watched Prisma Phantasm.
The Shinji arc was not nearly as funny as the show thought it was. Self-absorbed psychotic Sakura was great and I wish there was more of her. Ramen deaths were funny and Mapo Water was an unexpected side-splitter. ONIICHAN and Angelica having their tryst in the middle of Kick the Can was great.
6/10 more anime when

Probably the best way to go for the rest of the series considering the pacing would be rather wonky for an anime season. Hopefully they can get more of a budget for fight animation this time considering over half of it will be Beatrice .
