Was lost. Because a practitioner of this art was just summoned. Divine Words, other than being Medea's way of using magic, are mostly unexplained (there were mentions of her ordering magic "like a/her dog" in UBW).
Making educated guesses, we can say they are similar to Chaos words of Slayer's fame in that they are not merely sounds, but understanding/knowledge of the world manifested by the uttering of the "magic words". In this order of ideas it's perfectly viable to teach Divine Words. High Speed Divine Words are harder to justify, but...we don't really know about Divine Words to really argue about this.
So let's not.
Hm, interesting. I was under the impression that ancient mages did have magic circuits, it was just that magic cams so easiy to them that they never gave much thought to the mechanics of it.
Compared to modern mages who have to study the mechanics extensively to even be able to use magic. Double the effort for half the reward.

But really, it makes some sense if you think about it. There is a reason why magi and mysteries from the Age of the Gods are considered far above modern magecraft.
Of course when you have someone who actually lived at that time added into the mix "fun" things tend to happen.
