Tsukihime - Hisui's Route

This is the discussion thread for the Hisui's route of Tsukihime, meant for those who have only finished Hisui's route or wish to only discuss it. Please put plot points that occur outside of Hisui's route in spoiler tags.



Hisui's route is the fourth route in Tsukihime and is focused around one of Shiki's maids, Hisui. It is also the second part of the Far Side of the Moon.

Here are my thoughts I wrote after I finished this route:

Now then, a hell of a lot was revealed in this route. I didn't expect the twists with Hisui and Kohaku either. It had me guessing until the end too. There was evidence to support Hisui being in the window and Kohaku being there for quite some time. And for Kohaku to be the mastermind behind everything - didn't see that coming either. I didn't rage as much as I thought I would either. I guess since I knew it was coming and since Makihisa didn't do that to her because he was evil but out of necessity. I sure as hell don't forgive him for it though... an eight-year old girl. He went straight hell. Not only for that, but for Killing the Nanaya's too. But Hisui is just so cute. All of her blushing was just hhnnggghh. Also funny how she kept her maid cap thing on during the sex scene, haha.

True End:


Why... why did they have to kill Akiha!? Why!? Not only were here endings bad but she gets killed here! What the hell, Nasu!? It's like he made her so awesome just so he could take her away and laugh at us.

Good End: Thank god Akiha lived! I would have cursed Nasu even more if he had killed her.

Edit: Also in the true ending she can never atone for what she did.

Does anyone feel pity for SHIKI?

I am going to go threw her route. But I tend to think of routes as different "worlds"

In world 1 Kohaku does x and dies.

World 2 Kohaku says sorry

So..World 1 Haku will always be a bitch.

Everyone feels pity for SHIKI. He is the most tragic character.

However that doesn't mean we hate Kohaku.

Kohaku is a great character and very likable, too. I thought I'd come to dislike her when I finally got around Tsukihime, but that didn't happen. In fact, I started to like her even more. Even though that was a fake personality she was displaying, the amount of energy and feelings she had was just exhiliarating. Not to mention how deeply she cared for Hisui's safety.

Kohaku is probably the most genius character Nasu ever created.

As for the Hisui route, when everything gets rolled up bit for bit, I was shocked and fascinated at the same time. I cannot recall all details since it's pretty long ago, but the key scenes, CG's and lines remain in my mind. It's such a tragic story.

The problem with Kohaku is that when she appears in funnier sidestories like in KT, I kind of feel bad whenever she shows up.
I don't know why though, I mean it's not like the other characters don't have sad backstories.
