This hair was proving remarkably useful for a remarkable number of things.

Being spun into the side of Nadai with a sort of grace the young doctor thought would be rather suited for a dance, or some sort of ball, the silver-haired student nonetheless accepts the sudden squeezing embrace of the girl without resisting, even as her thoughts wander off to what the girl had just told her about her true motivations... Protecting the Club Leader not out of romantic interest, but some other form of devotion, like a knightess and her king?

    Or something like that anyway.

It was a bit beyond what she had expected, and her assumption having been proven wrong, there may have been a brief moment where the girl's temperature had risen slightly above normal out of the beginnings of embarrassment from one thing or another, be it being wrong, or being caught in such a sudden embrace, but...

The words of Herbert, words that explained why she could not as of yet join the club, and the club's reaction to those words, snapped her out of it in a manner most swift.

    ...It was suspicious.

Not a single one of them desiring to go speak with the playwright, even Irmina, who is not exactly used to the hustle and bustle of school life, and is still trying to figure things out through a veil of inherited memories, can tell that there's either something incredibly lazy about the club members, or that the playwright themselves was someone that was difficult or unpleasant to deal with for some reason...

    Even so...

"If it's a messenger that is needed, then I suppose I will go speak with the playwright," speaking with her usual strength after the chorus of 'not its' dies down, the silver haired doctor smiles to herself, "It is only fitting I suppose. I am the one requesting membership, so completing a task to make that possible makes sense; if you will allow it, I will take care of the errand."

Turning her head slightly to the side then, as if in thought...

"...So who is this playwright? And where exactly can I find them?"

Making sure not to get too ahead of herself (this time), the girl decides to casually ask about the location of the playwright as well as their name.

Not that she lacked faith in her ability to find them otherwise! That was a silly thought!

The Great Doctor does not get lost after all!

...Best to be safe about it though.

Even if the author is silenced, the performance is stilled and the actors leave the stage, the story will never truly end.

Regardless of the form it takes, as long as there are memories of it's existence, the story will continue on.

In a small ward in the heart of a once devastated town, life carries on as it always has...

    Because of you.

    Please, remember it warmly.

We'll continue to walk down this path for eternity.

Nu Vi nodded, trying his best to ignore the boisterous Master guffawing next to him.

"Yes, word of mouth and rumors are a powerful thing, especially in an environment such as school. Still... try to stay out of trouble. Ask too many questions from wrong sort of people, and you're bound to get hurt," the Club President said, before taking a glance at some papers in front of him. "Still, there might be another lead. From what I can gather, this Firo Prochainezo has started a group of some sort, similar to people like Dead Man's Hands or Raiderz. You might want to contact another group like that to see if they've scouted out their competition already. That being said... be careful who you contact. Especially Raiderz are not the type of people you want to associate with it."

Vice President Euris took this as a sign to act, and she walked over to one of the many shelves in the clubroom. After fishing through many files that seemed almost identical except for the odd labeling of letters and numbers, she finally pulled out one. Inside Will and Lapis could see neatly arranged cards from various organizations and groups, almost like calling cards or business cards. She took two out of them and handed them two the duo, one to Lapis and one to Will.

Will's seemed to depict multiple flowers adorning what seemed to be lances or spears of some sort. Korean characters dotted the upper part of it, but under it had been written: "Wonwha - Military Flowers for Hire." Other side showed an address of an office somewhere near Lake Polpe. Meanwhile, Lapis' card showed multiple geometric shapes and hard industrial overtones. On big bold letters the words: "Outcasts - If nobody else can help, we can.". Next to it had been drawn the small shape of a grinning jack-o-lantern. The address in this one was in Old Town of Demeter Market.

"Those two groups should be trustworthy," Euris said and smiled at the two. "We've done business with them before and they're, if nothing else, professional about what they do."

Euris giggled at the excitement of Lapis, and even Nu seemed to be slightly amused by it. Most amused was, however, Soyon who patted the girl on the shoulder with force reserved for small hurricanes, and bellowed out a hearty laughter that filled the room to the brim.

"That's the spirit! This girl really knows what information gathering is all about!" the boisterous Master proclaimed. "If you're gonna be sneaky, you gotta go sneaky all the way!"

"As... tempting as that offer is," the club president said, his dry stare making Soyon back down a bit. "As the president of this club I cannot condone on putting my charges into dangerous situations like that, especially when it's about the Duel Chart. People have awfully itchy trigger-fingers when it comes to information being stolen about Masters and their Servants."

This seemed to catch the interest of the vice president, as Euris clapped her hands together once, and beamed a little mischievous smile to Lapis.

"Actually, I think there is! And it should satisfy Lapis' thirst for true espionage, too," she said, and nodded to Nu Vi. "We were recently hired to look for a, of all things, a fairy. Apparently one has made its nest into the abandoned house of mirrors at Aphrodite Venue called Glass Channel. And since it's been abandoned, it means that we would need someone to sneak over there to take a look if this fairy is real or not..."

Euris left the words hanging in the air like a fisherman casting his line into the water.

Elina flashed a small smile, tinged with something much more serious, to Aiko, and patted the girl on the shoulder.

"Nah, don't worry about it," she tried to cheer her up. "Like I said, Ritsu like to take things waaaaay seriously, and when someone else doesn't, it pushes her buttons something fierce. I suppose it's because she's something of a worrywart, and when she thinks others aren't acting like they should, weeeell... This happens."

Apparently with that, her explanation was over and she took on the full role of a tour guide for Aiko. The newcomer was quickly shipped out of the door, barely given enough time to get her things as they were probably going to head straight from the stores to school. As they walked over to the nearest bus-stop, not that far away from their house, they joined the seemingly endless amount of students that creeped out of their dormitory rooms, eyes bleary from the sunlight and sleep.

All the while, Elina kept the small-talk going, showcasing just how endless the pep in the small esper really was. During the walk it was talk about some latest TV Drama; on the bus she kept talking about how some of her classmates had gotten in trouble with one of the teachers after they took some pictures of her gorging herself on hamburgers and then posted them online, earning month's worth of detention. After exiting at the bus-stop of Demeter Market and while walking towards À La Mode, she kept listing the top then hottest boys in Year 2.

Non-stop cheer and mood-making, lasting almost the 20 minutes it took for them to get to Demeter Market. Elina had a knack for it, definitely.

It was only just before the famous department store of fashion that she fell silent, and Aiko was the one to initiate the conversation.

"Mm-hmm," Elina answered, her head bopping up and down in agreement. "I mean, she claims she doesn't because she'll get fat and all that, but I know she has some real cravings for chocolate when she's grumpy. Plus it's kinda my thing, really. If she ever gets fed up with me, I'll try to buy her some as an apology."

Showing a bit of an embarrassed smile, Elina scratched the back of her head, cheeks slightly flushed. It was rare to see her this out of her element.

"See, even if we argue lot, it'd be super sad if she really hated me. I don't want that," she admitted. "Ritsu's is a super good friend to me, and I... well, you know?"

Apparently deciding that enough was enough, and taking their arrival at the scene of their target as a cue, Elina directed her attention forward. Before them stood a towering building of multiple floors, rising ever upwards and with various huge banners painting its sides. They showed models, mostly girls, dressed in various spring-related clothing such as jackets and light scarves. Two of the models Aiko even recognized, if only by their looks and reputation. The redhead in a biker-inspired, yet undeniably chic outfit was Rachel Comet, the captain of Clock Tower Cannons airball team. The girl bending forward, wearing a short skirt, knee-high socks and long-sleeved sweater with a plunging neckline had to be Vielyna von Einzbern, whose clothes were advertised here and there even on their Dormitory Ward.

"But enough of that, step in, step in!" Elina exclaimed, nearly pushing Aiko through the sliding glass doors and into the wonderland of clothes that awaited beyond them.

And what a wonderland it was. Sophisticated interior decoration, breathing, spacious rooms, racks and shelves full of designer clothes and mannequins sporting various outfit combinations... it was definitely women's world from that point forward. Pastel colors and some carefully picked flowers and plants really added to the whole experience, as did the small cafe at the first floor.

But what seemed to really catch Elina's interest was one corner in particular.

One corner she was now dragging Aiko towards, excited shimmer in her eyes.

One corner that seemed to be exclusively sporting swimwear and bikinis for the up-and-coming summer.

It is unusual to have someone take my side like that.”
Holly let out an odd guffaw, somewhere between actually amused and slightly sarcastic. As the two of them walked back towards the entrance of the airstrip, she made a hard-to-read gesture to the Kishu's words. It was somewhere between a shrug and shaking of her head, yet was tinged with something that was a bit hard to pin-point. Eventually Fiore managed to narrow it down, however: it was the tired bemusement of an underling having to deal with her superior's attitude for years.

"Think nothing of it, Mr. Lacere-Ran," Holly finally spoke. "Truth to be told, Wing Commander Minx is... definitely the daughter of her mother. If you have not already realized it, all the Minx girls are, more or less, odd in some way. Undeniably talented, of course, but oh-so-odd. Youngest insults everything that moves, the second has to be the best, third has awful leaps of logic and oldest, well... she has no common sense. Absolutely none. Even for a magus, she lives in a world completely of her own."

Holly then grabbed her own arm as if to show off her muscles to Fiore, and grinned at the boy.

"So it falls upon her trusty underling to drag her back to realm of no-nonsense every now and then!"

As they walked and talked, the two of them eventually arrived to the entrance once more. Holly talked with the guards, explaining vaguely the reasons of the Kishu's visit and that he should not be detained, and no he was not a terrorist looking to blow up the building, and for the third time Jiminy I am not going on a date with you, you're 22, I am barely 14, can you understand that? Eventually the two of them got outside, Holly stretching in the evening sun and giving a hearty sigh.

"And what comes to the wardrobe, don't worry. Formal wear should be fine," she said, putting hands on he waist and smiling at Fiore. "We have people from all around the world in this city, so you'll be bound to run into some weird, culturally-tied formal wear. Just go with the flow and try not to look out of place. Or try not to be like me, who has nothing but military uniforms in her wardrobe. I couldn't attend an event like that even if they invited me."

Perhaps it was just her way of speaking, but the last words seemed to come out a bit more bitterly than Holly intended.

When the clock hit half past four, five HECATE-phones around OLYMPUS suddenly vibrated and let out their carefully-selected tunes to signal that they had received a text message. This was then topped off by another sound-byte that indicated it was a message from one of the authority-wielding organizations of OLYMPUS. And when the these five people looked at their phones, they saw that indeed, it was a message from ARES Headquarters, addressed specifically for them. That, if anything, put a little more tremble to the fingers swiping the screen and opening said message.

And the ones who got this message? Students known as Fujou Shizuka, Fujou Rei, Liu-Long Mei, William Tenevere and Juliana Petronova.

What about the contents of the message? They, if anything, were a surprise.

Holly seemed a little more cheerful escorting him out from the airfield, which was nice, but there was something she said as they were leaving that gave cause for concern. Not the strangeness of the Minx family, but the state of the diminutive secretary’s own affairs.

“I…um,” he began, faltering. “Not to be too terribly forward, but while there’s nothing I can do about invitations to anything, if you ever needed a dress or a jacket, I could try my hand at it? I am supposed to be a tailor’s apprentice, at least prior to my enrollment here.”

While he spoke, Chanter drifted out from the pedestrian traffic along the street. The rose-haired Servant gave a look of muted curiosity to the pair before dismissing the thought, instead withdrawing something from his cloak. It was a piece of fruit from the gardens.

"If you’re going somewhere tonight, eat this. I’d much rather spend the evening watching fireworks than collecting you from prison."

Fiore stared flatly at the male, whose appearance was barely older than his own.

“There were so many better ways you could have worded all that, you know.” He grumbled good-naturedly. “And I am not eating this thing now. In the middle of the street. In front of a lady.”

Taking care to treat her given card delicately, Lapis glanced over at the one Will had been given. From what the President had mentioned just now, it’d be prudent to contact the organizations on their cards first, but she idly wondered if there was any reason behind who got which card. A name like Outcasts didn’t seem nearly as inviting as a group who advertised themselves with flowers, especially given the earlier conversation… To be honest, she kind of wished their cards were switched.

She gave a nod at Nu Vi’s answer. She’d been fishing for something more exciting, but understandably there was no reason for him to agree to something so needlessly dangerous.

"Actually, I think there is! And it should satisfy Lapis' thirst for true espionage, too," she said, and nodded to Nu Vi. "We were recently hired to look for a, of all things, a fairy. Euris left the words hanging in the air like a fisherman casting his line into the water.
The smile on the vice president’s face had promised adventure, and in that respect it didn’t disappoint. She had Lapis’s attention caught, hook line and sinker. It wasn't everyday that one got the chance to meet a fairy- an experience sure to prove interesting, if nothing else than the fact she had never met one before.

“Ah, that sounds perfect!” Her interest perked by the offer, Lapis replied rather cheerily, waving her hand around like a little kid. “If it’s okay for someone like me to handle that, then I’d be more than happy to.”

The trip to the cafeteria was surprisingly uneventful... Might be the empty cafeteria or the fact that most people were rushing out of the school not into it. Regardless, it was calm here with only a few students coming here. This visit should have been entirely calming. Should have... And the reason was right in front of me. A bucket full of pudding. On one hand, I've always like the idea of having a bucket of sweets. On the other hand... all of those calories.

I stared at my spoon and then the bucket in front of me. I could only feel like the kid that asks "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?" except replace licks with spoonfuls and tootsie pop with pudding. If only I could go "One scoop, two scoops, a third scoop" and mysteriously cause it to disappear...

It's good? I wonder how good it is now... I stuck my spoon into the pudding and placed my own big spoonful of pudding. It was good. Far better than what you would've expected from seems to be mass produced pudding. What else could be hidden in this pudding... I took another bite of it and tried to savor the taste of it.

While seated and waiting for her ordered food, Juliana felt her phone vibrate in her bloodstained white polar jacket, as well as her selected message tone, which came from her favorite anime "Iron Soldier Akujin". But then, it was followed by a tone that she never heard before. It was strange to her. She doesn't remember putting such tone on her HECATE-phone, neither does she remember such particular sound from the theme song of the anime itself. As such, she smiled and voicelessly mouthed the words "Excuse me." to Vielyna, as she hurriedly snatched her phone from her coat.

When she opened this message, she got surprised. ARES, the paramilitary force of the Academy City that also serves as it's constabulary, as sent her an invitation to a ceremony that will take place in the AirContinental Hotel. It was an award ceremony, and it boasted a dance flood with live house band, a buffet table, lots of high-class visitors, and a possible meteor shower viewing. She saw and read all the offerings of the gathering and, as such, she thought it was amazing.

But she was not happy. It, instead terrified her, as she saw what the name of the ceremony was. It was called the "Night of Crystal Shards Recognition & Award Ceremony". When Juliana saw the phrase "Night of Crystal Shards", she was struck with fear. She successful maintained her composure to not show her feelings, but she knew that her pupils widened. It brought back the memories of that night in the Crystal City. She considered it bloody and disastrous. Thus, she will never forget it.

But most of all, it brought back the image that contained various symbols and strange, unfamiliar text in her mind, all written in blue. She can't stop questioning herself about what it means, and it scared her. She wanted to just lose consciousness and lay down or curl and hug her own knees, as if she was a toddler that saw something terrible. But she was at Mon Petit Lapin, a restaurant, not in her dorm room. And she was a 16 year old young woman, not a little girl. As such, she maintained her composure. It was not the time to be fearful.

Still, she thought of attending the ceremony. She didn't know what to expect or what will happen, but she was still determined to go there. Besides, she wanted to see Liu Long Mei again, to see if she gets an award or not. She thought that she deserved it well, if only for dealing a final blow against the biological creature who attacked and injured her, as well as saving her limbs and other peoples' lives. She cannot be grateful enough for all she did to her.

She also thought about something she considered very important when it came to events and gatherings like this: about the proper attire and she should be wearing. The invitation didn't mention if guests were supposed to wear formal or semi-formal clothes. She was sure that she shouldn't be so casual in her clothes, since it was to take place at a hotel, with buffet. She was to also leave her bloodstained jacket, since it was, after all, not just awkward, but also it attracts the wrong kind of attention. But still she had no clue about what to wear, and it was supposed to take place that night.

As such, she kept the message open and passed the her phone to Vielyna, in order to show her the invitation. At the same time, a waiter finally arrived with the orders they had in mind, as the plates and glass of food and drinks were diligently and carefully placed on top of the table. The waiter then bowed down to them and left, without ever saying a word.

Juliana then began to try their garden salad with a simple vinaigrette which she ordered as a side dish. As she took a bite and watched Vielyna for her reaction, she was impressed by how crisp and fresh the greens were, as well as how well-made the vinaigrette was. She was very pleased by it.

Success is naturally intoxicating. A mechanism to ensure the survival of a species, even animals feel good if they satisfy their needs. An organism that is rewarded for advantageous behavior will prosper.

Even if it was violence that he inflicted it thus followed that he should be proud of his success. The cracking, snapping and blunt impacts that accompanied his quick disposal of these thugs was almost musical to his ears. He had not been in many fights in his life, none as serious as this, and the fact that he seemed to do so well only contributed to this sensation.

    He was powerful.

As he stood above the beat up bodies of his victims he couldn't help but smile. Innocently, he was sure. Just like an athlete placing first in a competition. The circumstances were regrettable, sure, but he acted in defense. Their pain was their own choice, and the blood they spilled was their fault.

He caught a faint whiff of it. The rusty, but sweet aroma filled his nostrils. There wasn't enough to saturate the air, after all it was just a few scratches. And yet it felt so much more intense than usual, as if any moment his vision would be shrouded in red.

It was natural that he defended himself. It was natural that the weak now laid at his feet. And it was natural that a predator fed on his prey...

A shriek took him back to reality.

    Banri.

"You'll be writhing agony you can't believe for that whole time. Think it's bad now? Just wait till the mixture of erratic heartbeat and heart failure kicks in!"
A predator catches the strongest prey he is able to. A lion does not feed on insects. They will survive for another day.

"Is this how you fight? Maybe I was conceited after all. I thought you people had at least some honor to yourselves. But if you lack that it makes things easier for you right here. Run, leave your comrades behind, and I will take care of mine."

Even in the rush of the battle Akio could not suppress a small cringing twitch as he realized how he just had elevated Banri.

I inspect the card I was given and stash it somewhat unscrupulously in a pocket. So like anywhere else in the world, Olympus has what’s basically gangs. I can’t say I’m surprised, but at the same time I feel that I wished my new school life could not involve the politics of currying favor and prestige with others. It’s such a time investment, where you often lose more than you gain.

That bitter taste in my mouth lingers as I tune out the conversation, my senses snapping to attention when Euris speaks up and bothers to tell us something much more immediately relevant.

“Fairies…” It’s an interesting thought, but not under my school of magecraft. Nevertheless, it’s probably for the best that I accompany Lapis. In case that things go sour for her, or she has a run in with some ridiculous thing like meeting a True Ancestor.

“I’ll come with,” I say, mostly because I still have free time and because I’m a bit nervous about Lapis’s safety. Though, none of this really says when we’re going to do it…

A collective gasp emanated across the room as the members of the Drama Club all stayed true to their craft and turned to look at Irmina with suitably dramatic looks on their faces. Perhaps some of them were acting. Hopefully. Possibly. After all, if one truly was shocked, trying to emulate the famous painting The Scream, was not natural. Still, Irmina immediately got the vague idea that going after this 'playwright' without a second thought was rare to say the least.

Or that, at the very least, nobody did it out of their own free will.

"W-well," Herbert started, coughing into his balled fist. "If you truly wish to do this, I suppose it can serve as your initiation ritual to the club. Just know that if you ever feel like... abandoning this quest, it is by no means a shame. Our playwright is, how should I say it... an odd person. A rather rude, and odd, person."

For a moment the club president rummaged through his pockets, before emerging with a small paper slip that bore his signature. He handed it to Irmina, softly pressing it into her hand.

"First off, take this. It shall show our playwright that you are acting under the authority of the head of the Drama Club," he said. "As to what comes to the man himself, he answers only his self-made title of 'Konjiki Yasha'. Most likely he can be found in the Dionysus Park. Simply visit the lakeside, and find the most colorfully dressed young man that you can. That should be him," Herbert said with a difficult expression. "And here. You may need to use this to get him to talk to you."

The next thing he handed to her was, of all things, a small bottle of sake.

Euris beamed at Lapis' enthusiasm, clasping her hands together. The blonde vice-president then turned to look at Will expectantly, her eyes nearly drilling into the boy. There was no doubt that the older girl was not going to let him leave the room until he had agreed to go with the homunculus, if the sudden change in her aura was of any indication. It was like that of a gentle mother ready administer some corporal punishment if need be.

"Excellent!" Euris said with a smile, clapping softly. "As said, Glass Channel is the place you'll want to visit. Unfortunately there is not much else to go on, but that should get you started. If need be, you can also scour the internet and OLYMPUS' websites yourselves in order to find more about this supposed fairy. And if anything comes up, you can always contact Nu or me, especially if you think you are in over you head. We'd rather rush to help than leave our club members in danger, after all."

Nu VI nodded and flashed an encouraging smile at Will and Lapis. The boy tapped his own HECATE-phone, opening an app of some sort. it spread a hologram to the table, one that seemed to depict an creature barely up to Lapis' knee. There weren't any other details. It was simply a vaguely humanoid blob, if even that.

"If you want, you can keep me updated on what you find, and I can collect a database on your findings here at HQ," Nu explained to the two. "I do this for our other members too, so it's not a big deal. That way you can always review your case in the event you forget something."

And with that said, he closed the program, peering over his interlocked fingers at the two.

"If there are no further questions, you're free to go."

This caused the boisterous Master sitting on the sofa to pipe up.

"Um, what about my-" Soyon started, but was cut short by Nu's glare.

"They will work on it as well, but a project like that takes time."

Looking down at the bottle of sake in her hand, for the moment, the silver-haired doctor seems like she's not sure how to respond to all of the implications behind this mysterious playwright. An individual that had all of his club-mates doing their best to avoid him, using made up monikers instead of his actual name, and apparently dressing in such a colorful fashion that she would be able to recognize him on sight in spite of lacking any other identifying features.

Yes, combined with the bit on the nose gasp from the entire club-room, most would have perhaps thought twice about going after this so called 'Konjiki Yasha,' but...

"...I see, interesting," smiling deeply now, as if the bizarre circumstances were the most interesting thing in the world, the silver-haired doctor's smile turns to an indomitable grin as she looks back up at Herbert, "Worry not. I have yet to meet any sort of challenge that I was unable to complete. You can leave it to me without regret. I will return with the scripts as soon as time allows."

Slipping the bottle of sake into her school bag, the young woman, suddenly seeming to almost bounce with some form of excitement, takes the time only to wave once to the club room, before charging out with just as much energy as she had charged in with, wanting to just march straight to the park right now, but knowing that she would have to return to her classroom before all of that.

It was a mad dash down the stairs to be sure. The young girl was nimble as a slippery eel, and her speed was nothing to scoff at. The time Luis had spent training with his fellow airball players made him realize that the girl was, indeed, built much like a speedy attacker for such a team. She had superb awareness of the space around her, and she utilized her legs in innovative ways - such as running the wall of the spiraling staircase to keep ahead of the older male student.

Still, while she was fast, Luis was faster. After a minute or a two, and a whole lot of floors downwards, he finally caught up with her. Letting out a yelp, Coahoma tried to jump out of his reach, but like it had been the very ball he had been practicing with, Luis managed to snatch her by the collar.

Thus, he was left dangling a flailing pre-teen from the scruff of her neck, while listening to the verbal complaints of his prey.

"H-hey, lemme down you dingus!" Coahoma protest. "I'll report you! They're gonna lock you away for good! You'll rue the day you put your hands on Coahoma the Great! Rue, I say! Rueeeeeee!"

She certainly seemed fond of the word rue.

Perhaps she was trying to remember if she had money enough to visit a place like that. Or perhaps she was wracking her brains for a feasible rhyme to use in this situation.

Most likely, the situation was the last option.

"My soul is always hungry for nourishment, that is the what is called life's punishment," she answered, her voice droning on. "But what I yearn for is poems and art, something as mundane as food is just society's way to keep us apart."

Then, momentarily, her eyes hovered towards her stomach, and she added with slightly flushed sheek.

"... But I guess one needs food to keep going," she added. "So this meal you spoke of... I'll be joining."

Baltis grimaced ever-so-slightly, a rare expression on his otherwise permanently cheerful face.

"Well, umm..." he hesitated momentarily. "Dali does have a HECATE-phone, but hers is... it was a special model requested by our Dormitory Head herself, so that makes it already a little different, but in her case..."

Baltis gestured towards Dali, who had hovered right next to the two boys. She turned her unblinking gaze from Drake to Baltis, before a tiny light of understanding flashed in their golden depths. With nary a sound, she lifted her head, and Drake could see a small opening emerge from where her mouth should have been. Then, what seemed like an emerald green soap bubble emerged from it, growing ever bigger like she had been blowing bubblegum. Once it had reached the size of Drake's fist, the bubble separated from Dali, starting to hover in front of her face.

To his surprise, Drake could see odd symbols and markings float inside the surface of the bubble, like it had been one big screen.

"Dali can't exactly reproduce human ways of communication, even with her phone," Baltis laughed awkwardly. "Her input to this world is so different that there's really no analogue to it. If she sent you a message, it'd just look like a garbled mess of characters. And would probably take half of your phone's memory, too."

Holly snorted at the dialogue between the two.

"Please, I work with a paramilitary force," she said and giggled. "Table manners are one thing not required of recruits and soldiers. Let me assure, Mr. Lacere-Ran, there is hardly anything you could do that would shock, or better yet, disgust me. If you want to eat... whatever that thing is... just go ahead. At least it's not one of Numerica's applepies. I swear, those things should not be able to move that fast, or attack with such a ferocity."

She shook her head mirthfully, and glanced at the city around them. The city of OLYMPUS had grown quite a bit busier now that evening was approaching, and one could feel some sort of tension, or rather, excitement, in the air. Perhaps it was just the idea of a weekend around the corner, or perhaps this toted meteor shower was a bigger event than back on the ground. Nevertheless, even Fiore could see more smiles in the passers-by than usual.

"But I'm getting off-track here. And while I appreciate the offer, I doubt I will be ever needing formal clothing, or... ugh," Holly shivered momentarily. "An evening dress. Still, if such a bizarre situation comes up, I'll be sure to contact you!"

With a grin, she patted Fiore on the back.

"But you better get going if you're gonna be ready for tonight. Though before you do..." Holly bit her lip and eyed Chanter up and down. "Do remember to bring your Servant the next time you visit us."

I find myself slightly amused at Honeko's response to my offer for us to get some food, honestly the only thing that was missing to complete this scene was her stomach rumbling just as finished talking about how mundane food was. Still good to know for as eccentric as she seems to be she's just as human as the rest of us when it comes to something like this.

"Haha, well I'm happy to hear that."

With that matter now being settled, I pull out my phone from my pocket and switch on the map app. Though I had an idea as to what restaurants Lea was referring to when he had given me some pointers earlier, I figure it's best I double-check where exactly it's located. Let's see...the travel guide that we were all given didn't mention any Japanese restaurants specifically, but I'm sure the one that I have in mind should be just as good. Now if memory serves that restaurant should be located right over...

    Here.

The place I had picked was a small Chinese restaurant located in the Old Town section of the Demeter Market. If I had to describe it I'd probably call it quaint? Nonetheless I'm sure the quality of this place was up to par considering the description it had been given. Better yet it was located fairly close to the next place I'm planning on taking Honeko to should everything go well.

Here's to hoping it isn't too busy in there.

    “Mmm, mmm.”

Eagerly soaking up the information that they were giving her, Lapis gave a quick nod to show that she was following.

    “Further questions…anything that I want to ask… hmm…”

Her gaze wandered around the room a little, her brain trying to think if there was anything that she was still unclear on. What to look for-all good. Where to begin, OK. Where to look for additional information, what to do if something popped up, and anything else that might be of interest or relevance at the moment…

“Nope! That explanation just now was good enough for me, so I guess I’ll go now…. Ah, and don’t worry, mister Soyon, your thing comes afterwards.”

She addressed the man with a bit of a wave, before turning around to leave. Maybe after investigating there would be something worth asking, but nothing came to mind at the moment.

Maibe pursed her lips in thought, wings slowly trailing behind her. The homunculus carefully looked back and forth between the varied shops, searching for the one she had in mind - Pulla Paradise, if memory served, and hers was near-perfect. She thought it would be a good idea to put some sweets in her workshop as a reward after research, and maybe some to have in her room while studying-

Snacking once or twice was alright, but more than that was really too much! Maibe shook the thought of a room filled with doughnuts out of her head and stood her ground, looking around for the sweet shop. Even as graceful as she was, she looked more than a little lost.

Why am I being told to do things I’m already going to do? That glare is unnecessary, Euris, and you should know it. Do I really look like some heartless bastard or something? Give me a break, the scowl’s from stress. Tonight has to work out…

Ah, right, questions. Not that they help much, but asking never hurt anyone.

“Are there any other rumors about the Glass Channel that we should be wary of?” Better safe than sorry, and if I get another heart attack like the first time I got a puzzle then I might just completely lose it. Olympus is still dangerous even if it looks… even if it looks peaceful. Best to be wary.

“Other than that, I think we’ll just go.” I offer no condolences for Souyon. That man should learn some patience.
