From what I remember (as it's been over a year since I touched Gold) Shambala was pretty challenging. I distinctly remember hating one of the last fights...which I will spoilertag.

I hate the fact that this company consistently makes fun games with genuinely compelling characters and fun narratives and then puts in the starving six year old models.

? But from what I can see, at least a handful of the characters do have quite a bit of mammary? Obviously, "pale, thin count(ess)" would be appropriate for Vlad, though. Also, we see Nobu rather early on, and Vlad is the reason that I bought this game, but is Cao Cao in this?

No. And you only got 1 Three Kingdom character out of 3 Chinese in the game

I haven't met any scantily clad characters yet, so it would be hard to tell that until I get some H-scenes. Also, does this game have multiple routes, multiple endings, or is it all linear?

Linear, though there is hundreds of scenes and events. Time wise, you will get your money’s worth and then some.

Well, I would count Persona 5 and Dragon's Dogma as mostly linear, but certain decisions can make the game end abruptly, before the actual final boss battle.

I notice a turn counter on the world map. Does that affect anything?

Well, in battles, there is a turn limit. Would taking too many turns on the world map lock you out of anything or some such?
Edit: Never mind. According to https://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/649867-e...est/faqs/73395 the only thing that affects the ending is whether or not you conquered the rest of the world before fighting Britain.

Genderbend notwithstanding, Nobunaga still "feels" like what you'd expect from Nobunaga, such as mannerism and attire. Can't say the same for most of the Round Table, though.

How many playable characters are there in total on the PC version? I have 72 so far. I know that the PS3 version has an exclusive Kojiro, but I could just get her on Gold, if it ever gets localized by Jast.
