She got more experienced at controlling her powers. As you saw in the end she was even capable of classic magic shields and blasts while in the beginning Homura had literally zero combat ability. Also I guess she had an ability to magically enhance her weapons. The grenade/pipe bomb explosion finishing up one of the witches was really huge. Well, maybe she used a LOTS of bombs.

I think it is possible she focused all of her magical energy into one shot. It makes sense since, from what Kyuubey said, what happened to her afterwards was imidiate.

There was something about the wish itself affecting how powerful the Mahou Shoujo turns out.

Also, since it's based on emotions, I reckon their emotional level at the time of contract should also help.

Yes, it has something to do with her wish. But in those other timelines, she had more time to explore, practise and utilize her powers. And no, she does manage to defeat Walpurgis in ALL timelines.

Walpurgisnacht is Homura's future witch form going back in time so Madoka can kill her, so they can die together.

Also, they should make a spin-off about Charlotte and her quest for cheese. I'd immediately buy 10 copies if they do.

Why would they make spin offs of characters nobody even liked? or someone people hated? (I'm looking at you Sayaka!)
