Everything was aflame.
The only home I ever knew was set alight without warning.
Before I could get out of bed, the beam above me fell.
I am going to die.
Around me, I could hear the blood curdling screams of the nuns who took care of us children.
All screaming for mercy.
Then, I heard it.
The cries for help and of death.
And the bone chilling laughter of THAT MAN.
THE MAN who just kept on laughing while killing them.
I knew this was where my miniscule life would end.
With the flames coming ever closer and me being stuck in between a hard place, my chances of survival were naught.
So, in that very moment...
I gave up.
And all that was left was a corpse.

But the end never came.
The boy only known as Shirou had been saved.
The cost was my memories of everything before the fire except for a few things.
I had been saved with the only other person I learned survived and my only friend, Ragna.
His arm had been cut off, but in its place a powerful grimoire.
The Azure Grimoire.
I have it as well. Inside of me.
It's what saved my life, along with that cat who walks on his hind legs, Jubei.
And the man in the suit who was with him.
Kiritsugu Emiya.

"Are you sure you want to come with me?" The man known as Kiritsugu asked me.
I nodded my head.
"Well then, I guess that makes you my son from now on." He said while smiling at my answer.
"Are you sure you want to do this, Kiritsugu? I mean with your condition and all... Heck, are you even sure he has the potential? I could train him at the same time along with Ragna."
"I'm sure, Jubei. I can tell just by the look in his eyes that he would come with me even if I said no." He replied.
"Now then... First things, first. I have to tell you something important."
He then looked straight at me.
"I'm a Magus."
And me being the kid I was could only reply with,
"That's awesome."
With a smile, the boy now known as Shirou Emiya journeyed off with the man known now as his father.

"Man, this time around is gonna be one heck of a ride. Isn't that right, Rachel?" Jubei said to the presence now making itself known.
The Vampire known as Rachel Alucard, appearing in from a wind of roses.
"Yes indeed, Jubei. Maybe now..."
Thinking to herself, she is reminded of the continued events of the World that won't let itself die. That everlasting script to be played out.
But now, with the proverbial pebble thrown into the lake in the form of "Shirou Emiya"...
"Maybe now the script will finally continue... And we shall see what lies beyond it."

And the Servants are all Ars Magus' users that have weapons based on or are remnants of Legendary Tier Weapons of the Heroic Age of Nasuverse. Prana (Mana and Od) still exist, but the better alternative for the better has become Seithr for energy. (Magic users have been able to use Grimoires for their Seithr to Prana uses.) Shirou has now become intertwined with The Wheel of Fate. What will he become?
