My fault for making the first off topic post in the GitS movie thread, so let's bring it here.
I suspect it will have a decent opening weekend because of people going "Oh hey, it's Warcraft", and then, relatively speaking, tank harder than BvS in the following weeks because fewer people care about Warcraft than care about anything related to Batman or Superman.
I mean, its advertising has been pretty dreadful. Basically, if you or someone you know aren't actively playing something by Blizzard, you will not have heard about this.
Bought Legion two days ago, after not having played since a month after WoD's release. It's decent so far.
Class Halls are considerably better than Garrisons. The campaigns are really great, as as they're basically class quests done right. With game time being purchasable with gold now, it feels like it's pretty easy to get your money's worth out of the expansion

The storylines throughout the 4 main zones that I've completed have captivated me, though I will say my favorite place to quest has been a toss-up between Stormheim and Highmountain. The one quest type I despise through and through is following/escorting an NPC. Half the time you're too fast/too slow for them and they just stop. Gearing has been easy given the World Quest drops are nice and the RNG upgrade gods have been great to me.
I feel like the dungeons have been... a little too easy. Even the heroics are nothing to worry about (not geared enough for mythics to even try yet). Only thing I'm waiting on is to check out how well of a raid the Emerald Nightmare is.
"Never forget. Wasn't it your dream? A world where nobody would need to cry like that.
Eight more years... And your battle will be over.
We will carry out this ideal. I'm sure the grail will save you."
Best of UBW
So, WoW Classic
Probably a good time to necro the topic considering the news for Classic and Battle for Azeroth. TBH, at this point I'll get it just because it's a new expansion. But, if the Warfronts are dynamic enough like the Uncharted Islands, than that's what would probably keep me playing. Psuedo-RTS sounds fun, even though it involves 19 other players who will troll and be fucktarded every chance they get. :3

*mumbles something about those who don't miss classic WoW having no heart, but those who want it back having no brain*
(Or however the heck that quote went)
I guess it all depends on how much of the old they mix with the new.
One must know the path one runs even if the ground underfoot is not as one chooses
Will be fun doing the classic server again, if for no other reason than being able to do an actual Alterac Valley again. Though I hope they tweak it a little so that it can't go on for 6 hours.
Will probably give it a shot if nothing else, since it seems TFS is making a Horde guild on it whenever it comes out. Though that leads to the question of what character to make, since when I did it the first time I went Tauren Warrior. Not sure if I want to do that again.
Do we know many details about it? Is it the same subscription as the main game?
Very little is known about the Classic servers. Whether it's tied to your subscription or not, if it will incorporate any modern updates at all that made some things easier. (Group summoning stones for Dungeons, LFD, etc.)
Essentially, Classic is likely one dev working on it (who drew the short stick) and that Battle For Azeroth will likely be out before Classic is. Considering Antorus raid opens at the end of the month and raid tiers are normally 14 weeks to make it last through the beginning of March... Still need the pre-expansion content and who knows how far away BFA actually is too. If Blizzard can make it similar to the patch hits and content updates for Legion, BFA will likely not be too far away from that point, possibly around May. If it still needs a lot of work by that point, who knows.
TL;DR - Too early to tell.

so anyone going to play classic
Me, since I'm not yet boycotting their games. Running out of companies to boycott and while they went to shit they aren't quite that bad yet to boycott them.
Also probably getting Reforged, because Warcraft 3 is amazing and having the option to make it look pretty is nice and they'll probably stop supporting the old version so that sucks too.
When are they releasing Warcraft 4?
shit BL says
Once and always and nevermore.
yeah, I am
I'm not the biggest fan of vanilla wow and I think the game has improved overall, but it'll be fun to check it out and do some oldschool quests and other stuff I've missed.
Found out two of my friends are going to play with me, so I'm going to roll Horde with them.
I am too
Still debating on what class/server/faction to roll though. Thinking I might play Alliance this time around, but I still want a PvP server. Based on the (admittedly small) demographic surveys the faction imbalance will not be kind for Alliance on the PvP servers.
I was going to, but I haven't even had time to get half way through Fire Emblem Three Houses yet. No way I'd have time to play Vanilla WoW again.
I'll be giving classic the pass. I have bad memories from the pre-Wrath time period and honestly most of what I liked was added in TBC.
I never played Classic, so there's no nostalgia for me, but the idea of seeing pre-Cata continents is absurdly tempting...
Probably a pass in the end because I don't think I can bother to handle more than one WoW character.
