Forest is a vampire who's a bit too good for her own good and doesn't know when to leave things alone. Armed with a ridiculously large hand gun, martial arts skills, a bitching pony car, and a love for pop culture she fights the forces of evil. Urban Fantasy 80's Style.

Well, I finally watched it last week and I have to say I did like it a lot. Although I think which movie was better in the summer is up to debate because they're rathr close: Avergers or Dark Knight Rises.
I thikn that the movie itself was building up slowly in scale and turned into what you call an epic movie. Tom Hardy did a nice job as Bane or so I felt because he managed to look imposing with all that gear despite standing at 5'10", Gordon-Levitt also had a nice role and we hope to see more great roles for our esteemed Mr. Joseph. It was the end, but I believe it was a great ending.
And god, I have to admit Anne Hattaway did nicely as Catwoman. It seems as though she had come a long way in her career and I think she was actually one of the few Disney girls that turned out all right. Also, that glorious and lovely ass.... =3=

So, I watched Batman vs Robin.
Definitively better than Son of Batman, but it didn't make me like Damian, I still don't like him. Talon on the other hand was an interesting character.
The only things I didn't like isSpoiler:
This being said, it's difficult to think that the Court of Owls, which includes the wealthiest members of Gotham, didn't include the Waynes. Also we narrowly avoided Bruce to become The Owl-Man (damn flashbacks ).
I'm sure that many of us here remember that whole thing in Batman Forever, after all the lectures that Batman gives to Robin about not killing 2-Face, he does the job himself. Many would consider that hypocrisy. I think that it's something worse. You see, if Robin killed 2-Face, he would gain personal enjoyment out of it, and that's apparently bad. If Batman does it, it's solemn, dutiful justice...
That very philosophy turns my stomach. Killing should be like eating. If you can't enjoy it, then why bother? Yes, I'm referring to all those strange "diets" that people go through. In fact, life, itself. That's why props to TM's Gilgamesh for rejecting the form of immortality gained through meditation and shooting for the herb. One should gain longevity by eating vegetables, not becoming them... And no, eating vegetables, in and of itself, is not one of the aforementioned "strange diets".
See. Stuff like this is why I cannot respect the Joker no matter how many sob story origin nonsense that's provided. Sappy origin stories are a method to make me respect a character less, not more. If I do end up respecting a character with a tragic backstory, said backstory would certainly not be the deciding factor (as with Emperor El). One should keep one's allies alive and see one's enemies dead. Who ends up killing said enemy should be irrelevant. Cao Cao was totally chill to see Guan Yu's severed head delivered to him (well, at least, until it started moving again).

You do realize that clip is from the show that has the sole purpose is to try and make the Joker look as bad as possible, right? Not saying he isn't a terrible boss or anything, because he obviously is with all the minion murder he gets up to, but maybe grab from something that's not a parody. It's akin to posting that Carnival Phnatasm clip where Lion King eats Lancer to prove Arturia is a cannibal.

Most of the time Joker's not even supposed to have 'sob back stories'.
He didn't have one until 1988 with Alan Moore, and even then it wasn't clear whether that was his actual origin or he was just imagining shit up. Even so, at the end of the book Batman makes the point his bad luck doesn't excuse all the shit he's done, as a comparable bad experience didn't break Gordon (and Batman's turned him to help people rather than hurting them). So even in that context the sad backstory isn't mean to make excuses for him.
In the original 50s origin Joker was just some asshole who fell into chemicals while stealing. Same with the 89 movie, and the Dini and Timm animated series. In Nolan's movie Joker's just a cypher with no past, more a force of nature than a man. The Gotham TV show doesn't try a sympathy angle either, from what little I saw of it.
It wasn't until 2019's movie when Joker's given a full fleshed 'sob backstory' for fans to latch onto. Until then the point is very clear Joker is just a horrible person and you just shouldn't empathize with him any more than you would with Freddy Kruegger, amusing to watch as both could be.
