Shirou really didn’t mean to stare.
But, well, it was ultimately impossible. He was, after all, a healthy young male, and in the past year he had gone from having sex on a regular basis to very little human interaction—much less physical contact. Though Sion kept her back to him, though only the back of her head and a dozen centimeters of shoulders breached the springs’ depth, he just could not help but crawl his gaze over her form, could not help but think of their impromptu tryst from before—
“Shirou, would you wash my back?”
He blinked at her.
Sion looked over her shoulder, gave a shy smile. “I do not wish to get the rest of my hair wet, if I can help it.”
“Er…” The redhead thought about it, considered how her braid stretched all the way past her waist. He nodded and half-swam, half-waddled across the bath to where she sat. “Okay.”
Holding her hair out of the way as much as possible, Sion sat up and leaned forward, the arch of her spine curving from the pool. Shirou thought it might have come from some sort of mental calculation of angles or geometry that the alchemist had thought up, as he was beginning to pick up on the tics of her thought-process-to-physical-actions. As best as he could, Shirou cupped the hot water around them in his hands, then let it fall onto Sion’s shoulders, doing what he could to avoid splashing it all over the locks she held aside.
When he was sure to have caught every part of her shoulders multiple times over, Shirou risked brushing a hand along her neck just below her hairline, fingertips catching where his clumsy rinse had not reached. Sion made a quiet noise, something between a hiss and a sigh, though instead of withdrawing from the touch, she seemed to inch her way back into it. Shirou repeated the process, dipping his hands back into the heat of the water, then returning to touch the soft ivory of her skin, until he was all but giving the girl a massage.
“Harder,” Sion whispered.
Something certainly decided that was a good idea. Shirou blushed as he felt himself brush against her lower back, and he tried to run his mind through the various excuses he could make when she noticed. But everything failed when she leaned further back into his touch, her shift sending a jolt of pleasure up his own back.
She turned that same smile, flushed from the heat of the bath and faint embarrassment both, and their gazes met. Shirou felt a scowl creep up onto his lips. “I see.” His own embarrassment both went away and paradoxically doubled at the exact same time. This was her way of seducing him, and he probably should have figured that out earlier. He revised his idea that he’d started to really pick up on her thought process. “Sorry, slow learner.”
“It was all within my calculations, do not worry,” she said, though her blush intensified as her hand crept back to skim along his stomach.
Her fingers fluttered over his abs and he felt that same pleasant jolt as before.
