The Magnificent Seven: Or, These people are your friends.
The events of late last week caused us to do something we had been considering for approximately a month, but made readily apparent: That the lack of moderation was being seen as a lack of action. People were feeling some admins were "taking sides" or giving preferential treatment to certain members, or that some members were essentially getting away with various sorts of crap.
To that end, we decided to scrounge out a new group of moderators. Five people moderating this board, clearly, are not enough to make sure that stuff proceeds smoothly and without problem. We debated some names, we tossed around some proposals. In the end, we settled on seven we felt would be fair to all members, able to keep a level head, and were decently active. We sent them PMs offering them the choice; we made it clear they were under no obligation to accept, and we would not hold it against them if they declined.
All seven decided to accept.
We therefore present the new moderator team. They will be the people to go to, from now on, for general issues with the board, or if potential problems are springing up. They will be held directly accountable to us, so if there are complaints about the job they are performing, please seek one of the admins out.
The mods are, in purely alphabetical order:

Hopefully, by adding these seven mods, the boards will be full of less flaming/trolling. The mods are fully authorized to hand out warnings as they see fit (bans will still go through us, with mods getting an appropriate voice regarding it).
Please welcome them warmly, for they now have to put up with a lot more crap than they used to, and they're killing themselves for you.
