Narrative is based on the final Unicorn novel and the screenplay is being written by Unicorn's author so I doubt it'll break its own themes.

And to be fair to Banagher, if nothing else he ended the conflict with Zeon once and for all (unless someone else retcons that). Not his fault that only six years later a different group of Spacenoids started attacking the Federation.

These are people with the capacity for humanity, and being able to empathize with one another should be the key to stopping them from fighting. And Unicorn's way of doing it beats out Gundam 00 and AGE method as far as I'm concerned.

Kid got results in the end, so there's merit to his methods.
Yet the burden shall be shared by two entwined, from which the sword will part from the body and be bestowed upon the vassal to sacrifice themselves and cleave through space and time.

Mark upon this unworthy flesh the emblem of the sacrifice, the vassal whose death shall bring forth victory through the fields of steel and blood!

The oath is laid here. We are the ones who represent all the good within the pure lands, and we are the ones who judge what is evil within the pure lands. Thou, Seven Heavens clad in three mere words of unequal power, shall emerge from the spiral of control, O keeper of the balance—!

"En garde! Unhand my motorcycle you Earth Federation scum!"

So yeah, I built the Meteor Hopper support unit yesterday, but as I didn't build the Wing Gundam Fenice until earlier today, I stuck a GM on it and couldn't be bothered to take it off.
I really dig the asymmetrical design of the Fenice, especially as it has lore to it centred around Ricardo sticking to the same model but rebuilding it again and again every time it broke. I also appreciate the ability to store everything onto the model itself, the beam rapier has an adapter allowing you to attach it to the arm when not in use and the twin barrelled beam rifle is stored in a slot on the backpack (you can't see it because of the angle sadly). He also has that beam cloak under his shoulder which always made me think of a matador. Anyways, this one winged angel is a really cool kit.

Y'know, there's another motorcycle model called the "Machine Rider" that apparently comes from Divers (though we haven't seen it yet) and it makes me really tempted to buy it and have a Hell's Angels style line-up of Gunpla.

Get out of here with that noise. They're space Nazis. They used chemical weapons on the fellow Spacenoids they were supposedly fighting to liberate, and the fact that other Spacenoids hate and resent them is a pretty major theme of both Zeta and ZZ. The Spacenoids of AEUG are about to vomit in their mouths when the order comes down from Anaheim to forge a pact with Haman, and Haman's takeover of Side 3 is met with rioting in the streets instead of the glorious welcome home party she wanted. Zeon is a garbage faction for garbage people, and the increasing drive toward whitewashing the war criminals will never sit well with me.
I'm sorry, where is the glorification in some characters expressing in-universe that Zeon was a symbol, ignoring its actions, and the show running with it? I don't remember the narrative agreeing with them or trying to apologize for the Zeon under the Zabis.

The Madlad went straight for it first thing!!

Anyways, the power creep was strong in this episode. Most of this seems to stem from the heroes forgetting what their powers were until the last second. :/

The next episode has me interested with Yukki and Douji getting development. <3

    Gundam Origin VI is great.
I really enjoyed all the politic in it, especially Revil's speech in the end.

Hopefully when they start adapting the rest of the manga it'll be of similar quality.

Weekends are great for getting things done...

I'd be surprised if anyone actually remembers what mech this is and which series it's from. Which is a shame as it's my favourite mech used by a Char clone and I hope to see it used to its full potential in a Build series one day. Also, the fact that it has virtually no stickers is a godsend after building so many IBO kits which are full of them.

    The future is now apparently.
Gunpla Battle Laboratory Project to realise Gundam Build Divers battle system

Basically it's a tech demo where they 3D scan custom made Gunpla and you get to control your now virtual Gunpla in a 3D space.

That's the point of the demo, they 3D scan it and a dev team work hard to recreate the custom Gunpla as accurately as possible from the data provided.

Granted, it'll probably be at least ten years before they perfect it and I doubt it would leave the Gundam Base Tokyo or at the very least leave Japan so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Another week, another Gunpla finished. This time it's something a lot of you probably don't know about - the Gundam Astaroth (Origin)!

So in the Gundam IBO spin-off manga the heroes use the Gundam Astaroth, but it's lost all it's exterior armour pieces and so (among other things) they're on a quest to find them kinda like the Dragon Balls. This is what Astaroth originally looked like during the Calamity War (hence the subtitle "Origin").

It's a really cool design though being an IBO it has an ungodly set of annoying stickers. The crests on the shoulders were the only okay ones, the others like all the silver ones were wraparounds that simply don't look right at all. I'll definitely paint them instead at a later date. I do like that his sledgehammer is actually a giant sheath for his nanolaminate sword, very cool. Those giant shoulder pads aren't just for show either, he has a semi-transformation where the shoulder pads rotate and stretch out and the backpack flips up and connects to make a jet like contraption and Astaroth Superman's his way through the skies.
