As it turns out, the cast of Gundam Narrative shall all be played by Jojo characters from now on...
Also, here's the profile pics of all the major mechs appearing in Narrative. Too many to copypaste so here's the link instead.

As an aside, ScrewAttack have decided to have their next episode of Death Battle be "Optimus Prime vs RX-78-02 Gundam".
Quite an...odd matchup methinks. Can't really see Amuro winning this one sadly.

Yeah, this sounds like a stomp for Transformers
Except if they go too hard on the RX 78 they have to worry about the point blank nuke that an exploding Gundam is. My guess would be Optimus wins the fight but can't escape the fallout, so a draw.

FF XIV: Walked to the End
Started Legend of the Galactic Heroes (14/07/23), pray for me.
I recently rewatched the final episodes of G-Reco for those gorgeous, offbeat mobile suits tearing each other apart. Kind of a shame that G-Reco had so many neat ideas and didn't do much with any of them. It's a microcosm of what goes wrong with a lot of Tomino shows. He's a great idea man who struggles to work those ideas into a satisfying narrative half the time. Gundam and Dunbine did a great job of weaving its Newtype and magical wonderland shenanigans into a greater tapestry, but later stuff like Brain Power'd and G-Reco fail to do the same.
I would have liked to see more of Venus Globe than the little pit stop it wound up being.
I should get around to finishing Overman King Gainer at some point, but that's a topic for another thread. The Gundam things on my radar are NT, Age and IBO.

Spoiler:
Ready for hearts to break when it's finally outted that Sarah is the glitch in the system, and for Riku and friends to defend their way of existence and her right to digital life in a plotline that'll likely vaguely parallel Newtype-esque whatever story threads of more archetypical Gundam series.
My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
I definitely agree that Reconguista was wasted potential, playing through "SRW: X" really opened my eyes to that. They loosely follow the same plot but really trim the fat whilst also giving more time to explore the characters and let them develop far more than in the show. Especially since several enemy characters such as Mask and the leader of Venus Globe can be recruited to your side.Originally Posted by Imperial
But I digress, perhaps the original Reconguista wouldn't have failed if Tomino didn't write and direct it, maybe he needs someone to reel him in at times.

^ Speaking of, some interesting trivia about the origin of Full Frontal's name.

Ok, now explain Quatro Vagina and Jamitov Hymen.
Having seen that bit of info, I find it interesting how the staff of Sunrise were much more involved in the creative process of supplementary works than I had realised. I had assumed that they just hired Fukui to make a draft of Unicorn and if it was good enough then they'd let him carry on to write the full novel series. But I guess not.
You got a problem with Mr.Vagina bruh?

It's Saturday so y'all know what to expect...
Striker GN-X
Ah, it hurts my soul whenever there's spare parts left on the runners. And since the Striker borrows a lot from the original GN-X that means there's quite a lot of leftovers. Being based on a 10+ year old kit also means the articulation isn't as great as a lot of other BF kits sadly.

Thunderbolt Volume 8 has arrived and been read. Now I can finally see what lies beyond Season 2 of the anime...
Daryl. I can see through time...
So yeah, I wasn't sure when this arc started if I was going to like it, but it's shaping up real nicely. Lots of character development for Daryl and his squad which was needed as prior to this they kinda all blurred together in my mind. Definitely interesting to see the capabilities of a non-combat Newtype.

Gundam Build Fighters Episode 20: So Sarah is on the run now. I wonder why the developer didn't tell the administration earlier?
Spoiler:
Because they will delete her instead of helping her
^ Developer: "Congratulations, we've done the impossible and managed to create a brand new lifeform... But she's causing bugs that'll shut down GBN for a bit."
Game Master: "Delete! DELETE!"
Lol, you so silly Divers.
As an aside, I was surprised that Bird Lady wasn't behind Tsukasa and the Break Decals, especially since the Game Master emphasised how similar the bugs Sarah caused were to the Decals. I guess Tsukasa is just that much of a genius that he can create a program that casually hacks into the core of GBN. Dude should've taken up a career in programming instead. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He is too busy building new edgy gunpla instead of proper career
Wow even in an anime about glorifying merchs and online games it still ruining gamers life
