So, I'm finished with the second season of Gundam 00. I don't know if it's just the fact that I'm coming off of 100 episodes of SEED or not, but I really enjoyed it. It felt like a nice combination of Wing, with the small group of what are essentially terrorists, and SEED's ideal of attempting to put an end to all war. But without the being nearly as preachy as SEED was. I enjoyed that finally after firing an orbital death ray on innocents, some of the army realize that their obviously evil leaders are obviously evil. There are a few bits that irked me, like the sudden twin brother right out of a daytime soap, or the princess becoming the most inconsequential character in the show, but still having loads of screen time devoted to her. While Setsuna isn't the worst of Gundam Protagonists, it really seems for most of the show that he's lacking some character. He's trying to do do all these things to stop what happened to him from happening again, but he seems so detached from everything that his motivations seem like a tertiary concern for him. Souske Sagara from FMP has a really similar backstory, and outlook at the start of the story, but shows so much more character as the series progresses, while Setsuna is basically stagnant. Lots of really nice designs in this series though. Lockon's first suit is great, with the giant sniper rifle, and Tierria's heavy's are cool. Lousie's machine at the end is really good too, looking like an expressionist version of the Qubeley. The only one that's not an outright win are the transforming ones. They just feel really bland, like I already saw Starscream when I was five, maybe show me something a bit different?
I'd probably rate it on the same level as Wing, because while it isn't as mindbogglingly stupid as Wing is, it also doesn't have the charm you get sometimes from being that dumb. Still have to watch the movie, then onto Unicorn.
Binged All Of Gundam In 4 Years, 1 Week and All I Got Was This Stupid Mask
FF XIV: Walked to the End
Started Legend of the Galactic Heroes (14/07/23), pray for me.
The most enjoyable part of 00 for me is how the people with 'free to do whatever I want' license being so pricky and arrogant toward the fat general guy at first and he can't talk back, near the end of the show, those free license guys has been reduced unto Team Rocket and the fat general guy start talking shit on their face and they can't talk back.
On gunpla, damn Moon Gundam look epic af.

For those that want more from the universe of Build Divers, fret not! The spin-off web novel series "Gundam Build Divers: GIMM & BALL's World Challenge" is available to read in English on the Gundam.info's official website.
Just finished reading both parts of Episode 0 and it's already got me cracking a smile at how off the wall it is.

Matte, is that Neo Zeong extension am I seeing? So, the Stein will be refitted there. While I'm at it, I was under the impression that the Stein is simply modified into Sinanju, but since the MS going to appear here, it is a different unit altogether?
Also love the Narrative Gundam seemingly fuse INCOM and Fin Funnel technology.
It's weird to see Minerva side by side with the rest of Narrative cast though, their 'facestyle' didn't blend well.
There were originally two Stein units, after Full Frontal stole his he had it modified into his Sleeves variant that we saw in Unicorn, whilst Zoltan took the second Stein unit and modified it himself for the events of Narrative.

It was from the final Unicorn novel - "Phoenix Hunting" if I'm remembering correctly.
It's been a while since I've read that book, I should probably go back to it before I see Narrative.

So... time travel?
“Yet the burden shall be shared by two entwined, from which the sword will part from the body and be bestowed upon the vassal to sacrifice themselves and cleave through space and time.”
“Mark upon this unworthy flesh the emblem of the sacrifice, the vassal whose death shall bring forth victory through the fields of steel and blood!”
“The oath is laid here. We are the ones who represent all the good within the pure lands, and we are the ones who judge what is evil within the pure lands. Thou, Seven Heavens clad in three mere words of unequal power, shall emerge from the spiral of control, O keeper of the balance—!”
