Here's what I think, Alexander can easily be a big-time mid-boss, but for the final battle naturally he and (possibly) others will get their awesome Big Damn Heroes moment with accompanying badass boast. That way, everyone's happy.

You know what would be awesome? Make Shirou trace a freaking Gundam and make him pilot it, don't forget the star-annihilating beam cannon and nukes in missle launcher slots. And furthermore, make the mecha so agile that it would do a Crane Wing with its giant maxed up K&B even more gracefully than Shirou. Ah, I forgot, the mecha has to accelerate to a max of 1,5 light speed. But don't forget that it has to be environment-friendly, so make it run on solar batteries.
