...Beautiful. Tragic and teary, but wonderful.
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster;
And treat those two impostors just the same,

"From a dusky world with an ever-setting sun, a limitless rain of Ryougi Shiki streaked down from gargantuan gears set in the sky." Fate: Over 9000, my best Crack yet.
I want so much more, but its beautiful as it is. I am so very conflicted.
Still, that was a wonderful piece. Well done. Well done...
The Art of Shipping is as profound as it is dangerous; not for the faint of heart nor the weak of will, it makes gods and devils out of us all.
Very nice. The last line moved me right here... pretty sure this is my heart but it could be a lung or heartburn. Beautiful piece, can't deny that.
Fate is fickle and Irony is a driving force of the world.
A very beautiful story, Pata. Loved it. Very moving, especially near the end.
Too bad it's a one-shot. Still, it's an amazing one-shot.
This needs to be continued.
Oh, I liked this. The only real flaw where some quotation marks were lost.

Forest is a vampire who's a bit too good for her own good and doesn't know when to leave things alone. Armed with a ridiculously large hand gun, martial arts skills, a bitching pony car, and a love for pop culture she fights the forces of evil. Urban Fantasy 80's Style.

Because it did affect her mind. It made her into a tsundere. An hilarious tsundere, even if I don't think Pata Hikari was going for comedy, which just made it all the funnier.
I'm wondering how the Fifth would go down, in this timeline; obviously, having Saber walking around the Emiya household would dramatically affect the fight with Lancer, and possibly prevent Shirou from getting desperate enough to perform the unintentional summoning. Then again, she'd probably recognize the Command Seals, and might inform him of them and the Grail War so he can summon deliberately. Which would raise the question of what Servant he'd get, since he obviously can't get this timeline's Saber.
Well, he still has Avalon, right? He could get new seals and then just contract with Saber.
He never sleeps. He never dies.
Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
Shioru summons Joan in this timeline because I find that hilarious. Things Go down normally until Shinji decides to try and melt the school at which point Saber gets tired of his BS and hits him with the flat end of Excalibur until he cries and gives up.
Kotomine is amused by Saber being blackened, Gilgamesh is horrified.

Well, if we go by the Fate Unlimited Codes dialogue, here is Gilgamesh's
Before fight:
Gilgamesh: This is ridiculous, you have fallen into despair Saber!
If Gil beats Alter.
Gilgamesh: I have no use for someone that has lost her ideals. Go drown in your inner darkness.
Once she goes dark, she's just a broken toy to Gilgamesh.
However, Fate/Zero made me realize one thing. It's possible for Saber to blacken by herself since it's just the form she takes when she embraces her despair.
If that's the case, maybe it's possible for her to stop being blackened, and become her normal self, if she sorts out her issues?

When did she say that? About investing herself in Shirou's ideals.

Huh. I thought I saw Alter and Gilgamesh's story routes, and I never remembered that part.

Great.
think there's less of a chance of Gilgamesh being beaten this way though, since Alter would have less plot shield. Maybe.
