Introduction
Sometime after the final defeat of doctor wily by megaman (date unknown) a massive plague arose in the active robots around the world. The robots became hostile attacking humans and non infected robots. Doctor wily was broken out of prison by bass and the two disappeared.
Years later, the world in shambles Doctor light manages one last burst of genius creating the Mega master machine able to produce any robot configuration known using megaman’s logic code for its mind. In addition the robots have integration programs for self repair allowing them to evolve and upgrade.
It is up to these sons of light to free the world from the chaos it is engulfed in. Be it praise of thousands or the lamentations of a war machine that await you at the end of your journey you must go. Go forth and light the fires of hope, for you are the last.
Explanation
Ok so by the title and that intro it ought to be obvious that it’s a megaman roleplay. If it’s not then you didn’t read the thread title.
This game follows an evolving alternate history from the standard megaman stuff. You make the story from the moment it starts. Beat the robot armies and mooks upgrade, change. Find the source of the infection. Save the world or doom it, it’s all up to you.
Creating a character- how it works.
As stated in the intro history blurb up top the new robot heroes made are created from the mega master machine.
You as a player state here which list DLN or DWN you want your robot base to come from and you’re then pm’d a description of the your appearance and abilities are chosen by me at random.
After this you can upgrade or change existing parts by defeating stronger enemies and taking their parts to use as scrap to build new parts or for direct integration into your systems.
You’re character’s personality is totally up to you.
Upgrading- upgrading is done via story missions or raids characters make. The player PM’s me on what they’d like to get (faster boosters, new special weapons, new parts etcetera) and I’ll run the event to get the group powered up. Some stuff won’t be able to integrate with different bodies however (quickman’s speed boosters would break trying to power up gutsman’s body for example.) and I’ll tell you so in the pm.
Dying- It’s going to happen. But you’re a robot so it’s not really bad as you’ll just wake up at headquarters in a new body.
However there are a few ways of dying permanently.
1) The data drive holding your mental back up is corrupted
2) You’re dispersed mid teleport
If it happens it happens. Don’t worry just make a new character or use the existing body setup you had if you like and build the character’s new personality from then forward.
