I think it's because we're so used to Disney being cocks, we've become desensitized to it. Sure Sony has it's moments, like all the artificial controversy around the last Ghostbusters movie, but they also don't own 70% of entertainment so it comes less frequently.

People are siding with Disney for 2 reasons. The MCU is still very well-liked and Sony's Spidey live-action movies were very well-hated.
They don't know it was Disney that pushed for an unreasonable deal and they don't care much either.
Disney are cocks but the MCU is pretty swell.
While Sony are cocks and their Spidey stuff sucks.
I think this ain't the last we're gonna hear of this topic.
A compromise can still be reached.
burn your dread you coward
I saw Tom Spiderman, it was very not memoreable, although entertaining

Spidey remains in MCU, confirmed by official sources.
^ So Spidey survives in the MCU for One MoreDayMovie...

Good to know, now, the series about New Captain America and Bucky is true or was fanmade, because I saw a image and I didn't like it.
So after like... a year since it came out? Or two? I finally sat down to watch Far From Home. It was an okay movie, some good bits of info about "The Blip" and how people dealt with the aftereffects of Endgame, but the main villain was far too weak and the entire conflict felt far too contrived. Like, I'm not even talking "Hawkeye could've taken care of the whole thing before breakfast", just Nick Fury not somehow jobbing his ass off and sending a sniper (which, Maria Hill's omnicapability aside, he WAS SPECIFICALLY SHOWN TO HAVE ON HIS TEAM) to cap Beck on the bridge would've shorn the movie's last half hour easily. Not to mention the complete cop-out of Beck managing to both kill himself while trying to kill Spiderman AND SOMEHOW STAGING IT ALL BEFOREHAND.

Yeah and Maria Hill too. You should've watched the post credits dude.
I actually wrote that while the credits were playing and I hadn't gotten to to that part yet, but it doesn't really change anything besides maybe adding quotation marks next to "Nick Fury".

Personally what bothered me was the fact that EDITH was linked up to a massive global information network and id-scanned everyone Peter saw when he put the Glasses on, but somehow failed to pick up that Beck was a fraud.
Yeah? Why didn't "Ex-Stark Employee. Disgruntled." show up anytime Peter looked at him?
Or bust his scheme open because of the Wi-fi in the air?

Yeah. The movie had a lot of problems with that. The Spidey-Sense sequence was cool, but it's a little annoying that it took that far into the movie for Peter to actually use it in combat AT ALL when it has been referenced earlier than that.
Also a lot of the tricks that Mysterio pulls off don't make sense once the methods behind them are revealed. Like he clearly causes Spidey to hallucinate and have some mental shit going on despite his powers apparently just being projections. But that's almost expected for these kinds of reveals.
I'm about ready for the Spider-Man movies to not have frelling Iron Man in any way, myself.
Yeah, I agree. Spidey in particular has been way too tied to Iron Man, even after the dude is dead (to be fair, I can understand wanting the next Spidey movie set after his death to be impacted by that).
But I'd especially want the future villains not to be connected/motivated by Stark.
It's almost a pity Sony and Disney renegotiated, we'd be guaranteed to be free of Iron Man without that
You joke, but I wonder how many people would legitimately rather have Amazing Spiderman 3 than support Disney. It's probably not as close to zero as you think/hope.

Let's talk about whether/how should the X-Men be folded into the MCU.
My take: they're better off separated. Even in comics, the X-Men books are kinda editorially insulated from the rest, and when they do become entangled with other titles, bad things tend to happen.
For an example of the current status quo, right now in Marvel there's a major event going on (Empyre) that pretty much doesn't affect the X-Men (it's contained in a mini that's mostly irrelevant to the main plot), and soon another major event will be starting (X of Swords) that involves X-Men books only.
Then there's the issue of what to do with the Fox X-Men continuity, which is a huge mess and has already plundered the most iconic storylines in a way that makes it hard to build on. I'm guessing we'll see a reboot sooner than later.
don't quote me on this
