Killmonger was one of the best parts of the movie. I actually wanted to see more of him.

I personally don't really like Killmonger.

Wew but, he was so different compare to other Marvel villain (most of their motivation is only accessing secret power that make them stronger).

It doesn't really feel like superhero. It's good I think (I got the very front seat, so It's really hard to watch)

I could've done with about 75% more Killmonger and while understandable that there's limited time more

Black Panther was fun. Coogler can make a good movie.

After sitting on it all day I feel like I want to say that overall Black Panther might be my favorite Marvel movie. Like, I feel as if Winter Soldier was perhaps the best executed, Guardians 1 was the most surprising I-didn't-know-I-wanted-that-until-now, Avengers 1 the this-is-exactly-what-I-wanted, and Ragnarok maybe the most like, fun, but Panther was the one that made me not even realize the time that had passed and left me with this feeling that I just wanted to live in that world and with those characters for another couple of hours.

Kilmonger is by far one of the best MCU villain out there. Actually felt sad for him.

Wouldn't actually mind if he become the protagonist imo.

Black Panther was a really great movie, I'm glad it was made, and I'm glad I saw it.

I saw that coming and I still laughed. The natural banter (he stared) and teasing was a treat.

Black Panther was okay.
Killmonger elevated the hell out of the movie and is easily the best Marvel villain since Loki. I wanted more Killmonger scenes. He got all the best lines, which is fitting when he had the most to say.
I couldn't get invested in Wakanda, though. It's clearly the product of two old Jewish American dudes. Case in point: I burst out laughing at the rhinos in body armor. I know that the movie tried to blend tradition and high technology, but it was too hokey for me to take any of it seriously.
Minus those ups and downs, it's just another Marvel movie. The formula works, but it doesn't wow me anymore.
I need time to sit on it, but my gut feeling after just walking out of the theatre is that Black Panther is a 6/10. Winter Soldier and Guardians 1 remain the gold standard of the MCU.

That's fair. I didn't phrase it very well.

I was speaking more so to how corny and inelegant the whole production felt. Black Panther has its origins in decidedly non-African writers and artists trying to convey an African character and a fictional African nation, which, years down the line, leads to weird stuff like rhinos in body armor.

The sight of a rhino kitted out in vibranium is exactly the kind of these-don't-belong-together that the entire BP movie suffered from. Any time the movie really got going and started to say something about the legacy of T'Chaka or racism or isolation, it had to hit me in the face with another big, blaring CGI fight scene.

But the MCU is inherently weird and goofy, so it's not a Black Panther-exclusive sin. It's a problem of comic book movies in general. No matter how gritty and tortured the next Batman is, it's still a buff dude in a leather animal suit. That's halfway to a furry porno.

The rhino body armor was less weird to me than vibranium somehow solves all problems regarding food, water, energy, and technology.

I also thought most of that was dumb. I was just using armor rhinos as the go-to example.

The goofy comic book trappings didn't jive well with the hard truths Killmonger was slinging.
