Wandering on internet
Nobody plays FGO for the gameplay, it's not fun enough for that
I don't know if zoomers would be capable of buying/playing Sorcery! or god forbid grey wolf. Not enough instant gratification. Those books could be really bullshit, and Sorcery the most of them all. The first book of Sorcery! is the only one that's mostly fair, Khare, snakes, and crown are all pure and unadultered bullshit. Khare by far the most, though. What were they thinking with the password thing?
I played those sorcery books. 3 and 4 were utterly incomprehensible.
the thing about meta is if you decide to go meta, you have to be good. Otherwise it just looks like you are trying to preempt other people saying you suck by saying it first.
...which is not a good look.
Well, I don't think the comparsion of gamebooks to VNs is vain. But I don't think a gamebook series which approaches the size of a big VN has ever existed, Lone Wolf comes the closest, and that's five 6-8 book series you're supposed to read in order, and which are for the most part pretty reasonable. There's a plot to them and all. But it really pales in comparsion to how large a project every modern VN tends to be.
A lot of visual novels could probably do to just take more advantage of the "visual" part of the medium tbh. Voice acting helps a lot too.
Minori were pioneers in visuals, their VNs look gorgeous and the smart direction made them feel much more alive than just a tachi-e slapped on a bg.
look at them now. Oh wait you cant cuz they went bankrupt lol.
Yeah, I'd never heard of them before so I looked them up and... Wow.
I guess there goes that line of thought lmao
Not saying that it is related, but it seems to be at the same time so.https://twitter.com/Merem110/status/1207889249854312449 there is anyone with more information about it, I'll be glad to clear things up.

Messed up your link. I won't believe anything until I see an image, at the very least.
Apparently, Merem saw some scenes (19 to be exact) of a game (he's looking forward too, Tsukihime implied) that introduced 4 heroines and one scene featured someone arms crossed and Mystic Eyes activation...Sounds like Arc during that "I'll have you take responsibility for killing me" scene.

It'd weird to show that during a Fate anniversary. Although I vaguely do remember that Arc was in one of those posters at that event, right?
Just find out this exhibit is super close to my hotel, so I'll check tomorrow and give a concrete answer.
Okay Tom... Don't get your hopes up... stay cautious...
