Damn, that looks good.
Looks pretty good...
It's a shame... that it will never happen...

Never know. I’m not getting my hopes up, but I do keep a tiny spark of anticipation burning over the possibility of Studio BB will work on it. They already have more than half of the material. Set up the new sprites, replace most of the H-scenes with context-appropriate character development and Nasu-typical softcore porn and we’d have a demo.
This is, of course, gratuitously optimistic.

Am I weird for feeling disappointed that those animators didn’t use the characters’ new designs?

i doubt studio BB is working on Tsukirime, when Nasu said its being playtested BB was still hiring. Sounds like they’ll be doing more gamey things.
They stated outright that studio BB isn't involved with Tsukihime because TM is doing it in-house.
Would be silly to not make it yourself, when ever since emerging from their basement type moon has always been a frontrunner on visual novels on the visual and technical side. FSN, RN and HA were all amazing for their time, heck RN and HA still are to this day, and they made the most visually ambitious VN of all time with Mahoyo.
they know how to make a VN.
Kazuya Niinou said very clearly here https://note.com/studiobb/n/n7738a01f9e16 that BB is not taking care of it and that he is expecting the remake alongside the fans.
And concerning the video designs, although they did not use all new characteristics, most of what you see is new design, like Shiki having a more jovial look.

Been wondering something, is there anything problematic about the original Tsukihime you wish would be fixed in the remake?
they BETTER keep the orange t-shirt though
Unironically speaking?
Backgrounds, character sprites and CGs.
Not just their quality but I'd like a more frequent use of them.
There are many stretches of the original VN where it is just a blurry background with a ton of text and no visual elements to go along with it.
Tsukihime is a great story but it doesn't take much advantage of the medium it's in.

remember Tsukihime was made by small doujin circle.
for me I'm afraid they will fix/tone down the story.

The only thing that I found problematic about the original is the fact that it didn't spawn related sequels, be it directly related like the Tsukihime 2 or whatever. I am not that big a fan of worlds that affirm humanity, I prefer stories about those crazy things that Nasu was creating when he wrote Notes, which are more related to Gaia and etc. like Types, DAs, divine spirits or demons (whatever Seven and Len are) and all that jazz.
Also trigger new stories and novels that focus on a deep development of the Church, the Dead Apostle Ancestors, the Touno and Nanaya families + families related and new.
I am actually hoping more from what the Remake will cause than the Remake itself.
how about Burial Agency spin-off.
