I'd wear it
Had to steal into the depths of archive.org to find these, and it's very happily missing almost all the time I was there. But they didn't change it severely for at least a couple of years after I left, so I grabbed a couple of shots from the newsletters.
What you begin with:
Grey blazers on grey tights and grey gymslip. Boys have grey blazers on grey jumpers on grey shirts and grey trousers. Grey grey grey grey greygreygreygreygrey.
What you move on to:
Bright red on grey - even better! (Used to be a bright shade of pink - and the same for the boys' ties - until a short time before I arrived, much to the boys' chagrin. Some of the old uniforms were still in circulation, and they were seriously ugly).
What you're wearing under the blazer:
Dull, ugly, grey gymslip over silly pink-and-white square patterned dress with grey tights. (Ignore the headband, that's just for whatever they were doing in this pic).
Odds and ends could be different, especially from summer to winter, but this was the basic stuff. I always used to co-opt one of the navy jumpers, which covered up some of the rubbish. (It still fits me. ;_; )

@Seika: I remember my old school uniforms, it was either blue tie/pants/sweater with a white shirt or when I went to middle school, brown tie/pants/sweater with a beige shirt.
I swear it's like they don't like kids looking good.

Mine was always white shirt + dark blue pants. No exception. The girl get a bit more variety in the skirt, but are still stuck with the white shirt.

I remember my middle school uniform, all the girls had puffy skirts and all the boys wore tight shorts.
I once had to wear a green polo shirt over a khaki bottom so none of you get to complain about ugly uniforms.
