I'm hoping that they manage to get a tentative release date for the remake in the next few months. From the pv they already got some of the backgrounds done (loving the backgrounds, the old ones were hard to look at at times), I'm hoping this pv means that the remake has become their current priority. This of course is me being hopeful... let me have my dreams.
Don't feel like looking around for any oblique hints they might have dropped in interviews, so I'll just note that in the original game Satsuki wasn't even listed as a main character. And now, not only have they classified her as a "heroine", she's got top billing in the PV.

Like, in that big 4Gamer Mahoyo interview that was how they had the schedule set up, and in the CCC interview in the new TM Ace they talked about how they kept chasing Takeuchi off to make Remake drawings.
And now that CCC is essentially finished...
And then they'll do a Fate/stay night remake and give Ilya a route, because lolicons and Sakura-haters are major components of Type Moon's fanbase!

Made my day, I honestly did not expect this to take priority for them, I was thinking that this would be something they did passively rather than actively, but now I'm pumped for this. Any word on a release date? Even a tentative one would be nice.

I get what he means. The dull backgrounds and short soundtrack of Tsukihime was rather charming in a minimalist kind of way.
Still, it would be dumb if the Tsukihime remake was exactly the same as the original - what would the point of a remake be, then? I welcome most of these changes. Except mai waifu's hairband change.
