its one of the not-maintimeline alternative futures of the Nasuverse. naturally, humanity is going to shit. here it is because they apparently simultaneously all started gettign a "well this is just a drag" mindet in regard to everything.

I think it technically takes place in a timeline. I don't remember which, Notes perhaps?

It was considered as such for a long time though. Up until recently it was thought all roads led to Land of Steel.

    Year 3000.

"By the Gregorian calendar, it’s probably around the year 3000 AD right now."

Not that I remember, only Decaying Earth-Moon journeys. So yeah, pretty much only the Lunar Immigration Plan and the Astronaut space travel.

The time it takes to get to the moon depends on the speed of the spacecrafts. The Apollo 11 was launched July 16, 1969 from Kennedy Space Centre and landed on the moon on July 19th. It took a total of 3 days, 3 hours and 49 minutes to fly to the Moon and 3 days to return to Earth. Afterwards, on April 11, 1970, Apollo 13 was launched from the Kennedy Space Centre and landed on the Pacific Ocean after traveling around the Moon on April 17th. It took total of 5 days, 22 hours and 54 minutes to fly to the Moon and return back to Earth.

The shortest trip to the Moon took place in January 2006 by the NASA Pluto probe New Horizons. With the speed of 58,000 km/hr, it only took 8 hours and 35 minutes to get to the Moon from Earth. The longest trip took place in 2003 by the ESA SMART-1 lunar probe. It took 1 year and 6 weeks because it used ion engine which was very fuel efficient. However, these two missions did not return to Earth.

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately I meant the time it takes in the Tsuki no Manga since by a thousand years, I'd expect propulsion technology to have advanced past chemical rockets for zpacecraft designrd for human usage.

Have you not read the story? It's the year 3000, yes, but at some point humanity as a whole just sort of gave up and lost the will to do... well, anything. Apparently "motivation" was a limited metaphysical resource being consumed by the whole species, and we burned it out. Naturally, civilization completely fell apart save for a few cities built by the humans that still care, while most of humanity apathetically slides into oblivion. If there were any major breakthroughs in the push to colonize the moon, they've long since been lost.

Yes, they especially didn't want to fuck.

Except for the ones with love, because love is magic. The theme of the story is "Without love it cannot be seen!", where "it" is good ol' nasty hairless ape humping.

With love, you can even bang stone and sand. (Or is it even stone and sand want Yamato penis?)

'Tis the moral of Tsuki no Sango.
