Username shown in the forum

I remember that in the old BL, you could change your handle/username that is actually shown to others.

That is, you log in with some ID, but that ID isn't necessarily your name in the forum.

Does the new forum still have that function? I tried looking for it but could not find anything similar, but I could be wrong...

It does have it, but I've disabled it for users. The reason being that certain people liked to imitate certain members, to the point it got abusive.

If you're really desiring a name change, I can accommodate that easily.

I can understand. But punish them instead of block this function.
I'm just saying this because i really like to change my nick. It's something that depends of my mood. You know me, i'm not the kind who copies other nicks.

Never saw the point to constant name changing. We can change our titles at will now anyways *shrug*

Gain some, lose some. I don't see this as being something that all but a handful of users would want, and there is the aforementioned confusion, since unlike on Proboards, if you change your name, your whole profile goes, and it's a pain the ass to remember people by their user ID number.

If you'd like to argue why you'd like it, though, I'm all ears.
